My Accomodation

[GHA EFM]

Portsmouth have sent me literature regarding accomodation next year at university. Which halls should I go for?

 

A). Built in 1990, excellent location near to Student Union, town centre, big park, and sea-side...£90 a week.

 

. Built in 1995, good facilities, fairly close to places, £75 a week.

 

C). Built in 2000, looks like a Kingstonian tower block, not great facilities, £50 a week.

 

You decide.

 

(not really...in the end I / one / two of my parentos will make the final choice)

I'd say A, cos it's the most expensive, but being near the Student Union would bother me.

 

Certainly not C.

 

B probably.

 

How about D) Leave school and get a job??

E) huge 2 bed apartment overlooking the sea with a private rooftop terrace and massive balconys and live in brass.. 200 quid a day

Go for C) - You need cash for getting wasted, you won't care where you live then. Unless somebody else is paying then go for A)

Oh you will just love Pompey. You might end up walking like John Wayne tho. Now the townies hate the Matelots but they both hate Students, be safe!

To be honest I've never known why anyone would want to go to uni at a place like Portsmouth. Everybody knows it's bloody rough and full of townies and squadies (I mean you wouldn't go to uni in Aldershot), you WILL be beaten up!

 

I don't go for any of this "it's the best course" either, a course is as good as you make it and depends on how well you apply yourself.

 

There isn't even anything to do in Pompey!

Pompey's a great place, I spent two very happy years there when it was a Polytechnic. Stayed in a hotel on Southsea overlooking the park and the Solent. First night there, one of the guys was standing on the hotel steps when a townie just walked up to him and clocked him.

 

Southsea's cool, but stay away from the Naval areas and Gosport especially at weekends.

GHA, go for (a) you'll only be there for the first year, so you might as well have a bit of luxury! Plus, you'll need those sea views to soothe your aching head after a night out!

stay in a hotel x2 couple of weeks then rent yer own house with 2 woman, a la Man About the House, and your sorted for 3 years

i think they are building some uni type thing in sarfend.. there has to be some action there on a friday n saturday night.. its also the chemical capital of essex
