Well Done Hookey!

Recommended Posts

Just stumbled across this on the pub forum. Not one to blow his own trumpet I would just like to say well done mate although the copper was going to arrest you is because your a short Irish c**t! grin

"Me and couple of guys from the office were walking down Old Broad Street yesterday, when we came a cross some t0sser bent over letting the air out of a parked up police van's tyres. I ran over and gave him a kick up the @rse, with that he jumped up and legged it with two of his equally scruffy mates running after him, they didn't even look back to see who did it.

With that, a copper who had seen me kick him, ran over to me and was about to do me for assault until we explained what had happended. To my amazement he just said sorry mate, you should have kicked him harder!!!"

I'm a bit embarrassed about it to be honest Jenks, not because I regret it but because I posted it.

I'm a socialist at heart and don't really have time for the Old Bill, never really forgave them for the way they behaved during the Miner's strike, particularly at Orgreave.

Though I do have a lot of time for the old fashioned Bobby on the beat, armed with now't but a truncheon and a whistle.

Judging by his initial reaction to your kick, though, he was obviously of Italian descent, so you were safe enough. grin

my dad was a copper of the type you describe above. (yes, i'm a piglet). i've got a picture of him smiling pointing to a "no poll tax" bit of graffiti. a few weeks later he was at the poll tax riots and bless our government of the time, had a plastic dustbin lid as a shield from the raining projectiles. (not enough to deflect the wine bottle that hit him square in the face and gave him a 3 week shiner). anyway, he got on with it and showed a lot of common sense, as did the copper who witnessed hookey kicking an unimaginative tw@t up the @rse.

anyway hookey - banter content follows.

if the bloke turned round, even if he was on his knees at the time, he still would have needed to look further down to spot you. plus, if he tried to kick you up the @rse, he might have stubbed his toe?

Ha Ha Ha Treeboy, that was a spit my red wine over the screen moment!

God bless your Dad and and all the "thin blue line", I still remember when the height of bravery was knocking a copper's helmet off with a catapult, or if you were feeling extra brave, a potato.

As for the banter bit, according to you, if I get an smaller I'll be a fecking "Borrower"!!! laugh

My old boss used to work at the docks in the 60s. One of the guys he knew broke open a box of hams. He took a 7lb ham out and cut of a big slice of it and scoffed it down. He turned around to see one of the docks coppers standing behind him. "suppose your gonna knick me then" said the guy. "No" said the copper "but I'm going to stand here while you eat the rest of the ham" That's real justice!
