Redbridge v Town latest...

Scoreline

Deserved a point apparently (sez Medders). Hit on the break with a 'wonder chip' (sez Medders) when we were pressing for an equaliser. Dave Walton MOM.

Deserved a pint more like! Had chances but not as many as Redbridge did and were left wide open towards the end of the game when 'dual national' Wild went up front!. What's that all about?

Mind you, what a screamer of a third goal.

Redbridge number 4 - what a moaner. Moaned all night at Charlie Hasler who only let in one goal. Goodness knows what he would be like playing for us?

Turning point was probably Charlie's superb save from Billy Healey at 2-1, although our defending in the first few minutes of the second half didn't help. First goal came from a needless free kick on the edge of the area, second from a long throw allowed to reach the far side of the area unmolested. 3-1 was a bit harsh.

I thought it was a pretty good match despite the final score. Town did play well at times and May's goal was well taken. Their third goal was a superb but not quite as good as Paul Campbell's effort last season. Fair play to the lone drummer for Redbridge who single handedly got behind his team drumming and singing throughout the second half.

I wasn't there, but even I can work out that it was a case of 'send the lighthouse up front to try and pinch a point and gamble at the back'. We then lost the gamble and got hit on the break - this has happened approximately 1 million times in senior football.

I dont think that it was the right option as we were on top of the game at the time and this just handed the momentum back to them. Pushing a midfielder forward to support the forwards would have made a lot more sense as they just attack from the wing down the hill.
