New Manager?

Any thoughts on who will be the new manager or managing the club next season?

Lee Hodges?

Steve Heffer?

Grant Gordon?

Martin Hayes, currently available?

Carl Griffiths at Brentwood?

Rod Stringer at Aveley?

Gary Hill?

Our last few appointments have come from within the club, it it time to bring someone external in to manage the team? There are a few local clubs doing well in the league below and could be in with a shout such as the managers at Brentwood, Aveley and East Thurrrock.

Martin Hayes for me, but don't forget George Borg.

Hopefully whoever takes over as manager, will know the non-league set-up, will know the players are good players, will want to be a manager of the club and not just in it for the money and someone who can get the team playing well again and playing good football.

I think it should be someone with no previous with Billericay - a totally new face.

Not sure who I'd go for, but just to throw a couple more names into the ring, how about Lee Patterson or Brian Statham? Both available, both experienced at working to a tight budget.

You'd imagine that they would prefer to make an appointment before the end of the season, if only to give the new guy a chance to assess which players he wishes to keep for next year.

First of all, can I just say that its good to see the official statement on the website clarifying the situation. A good move by the Chairman.

Agree with Simon that it should be someone from outside the club who can come in and shake things up a bit.

If we're looking for experience of the non league game then you've got to consider Patterson & Statham (assuming they want the job!) Gary Hill is a bit of a wild card as I cant see him coming the BTFC, but as someone once said 'Its a funny old old game Saint!'

There are certainly a few interesting few days/weeks ahead of us.

Martin Hayes or Brian Statham for me.

According to yesterday's NLP, Hayes is looking to get back into management before the end of the season.

Statham did a good job at Swifts with a small budget.

And I agree with some of the other comments, I'd prefer someone with no previous BTFC experience.

Good luck Jason for the future.

From the main site:

"Applicants with suitable coaching qualifications, and a proven track record in football management at semi professional or higher level, are asked to send their details ..."

Do I need to re-send my details in or shall I just wait to be appointed?
