Club Finance

On a lovely sunny Spring day,after another excellent result yesterday,thought I would touch on a very boring,but very, very important subject,which has crossed my mind on a number of occasions, not often mentioned on this forum - club finance.

 

Not sure,in the present economic climate,how well or otherwise our club is performing on the financial front, - do you? Hopefully,everything is fine and we are in good shape to ride-out the recession,fund our move to the QE Stadium,and achieve our ambitions thereafter.

 

It is good to note from our club website that membership for the season is up,and encouraging to see that we are recording better attendances than many other clubs who are fighting to keep their head above water and survive on gates of below 100. To date this month(March),of 70 league matches played in the Ryman Division One North only 26 had three figure attendances.

 

Unfortunately,I was unable to attend the meeting last Wednesday evening. Wondered if the subject of club finance was touched on,or if there was mention by the Board of any specific major fundraising initiatives designed to generate much needed income towards the QES project.
