I set the alarm for 04:45 to watch the qualifying for the Australian GP this morning.

 

Looks like the new rules and car set-up will make the competition far more fair for all this season.

 

Great to see Ross Braun's new team doing so well.

i too woke up at 6! cant complain tho was brilliant... so pleased for jenson he was loving it... and although the headlines will rightly by on button, hamilton deserves a mention, after finishing 3rd from 18th.

What a cr*p sport. If nothing else, the first 2 races have proved that you don't need to be a particularly brilliant driver, it's all about the car.

I did meet Sir Jackie at Brands Hatch a few years ago when I was instructing there.

 

I was really impressed with the gentlemans intelligence, politeness and charm.

 

Unfortunately, money, like in most sports, rules the game.

Sir Jackie will always be remembered for dragging the constructors, kicking and screaming, into inproving driver safety, after several of his fellow drivers lost there lives.

Maybe, but I would have thought Herr Max would be backing a German (Mercedes)car team, not trying to stop them winning anything! If it is just a case of discrimination against the driver, then he will probably end up with a Knighthood, as his Brown Shirted father did years ago!
