Slough Town vs Paulton

After Thursdays mauling I thought the boys what they are made of today.

How the first half was 0-0 I don't know, It could easily have been 4-4.

Second half, with the conditions in our favour, we deservedly took the lead with a well taken Romeo goal and ran out worthy winners.

There were some good performances today from Danny Jordan, Romeo, Luke Evans, Kyle Jeffrey and Ryan Fenton but the MOM must go to Steve Sinclair who stood head and shoulders above everyone else from start to finish.

A win on Tuesday and I think we will be safe.

Cos he's sh*t!!! I'm not sure whether Tommy Attrell is the long term answer on the left wing but you can bet every last penny you have that he would put in a more worthwhile shift every game than that waster does when he gets on the pitch. He doesn't want to be here, that's obvious, and on a day like today when, as everyone else has said, the players ran their socks off to get a result, he was blatantly lacking in passion and quality. I know he has quality, we've seen glimpses at Bishop's Cleeve, in the FA Cup against Abingdon and apparently he was very good against Andover in a game that I, admittedly, missed. But is 2 or 3 games worth of good play out of 20 or 30 odd really what we should be expecting of someone who obviously does have the quality when he wants to. Again that to me shows a lack of commitment and consistency.

A decent performance, and we cut out the mistakes at the back, so we won against a fairly good side. Jordan was my MOM, won tackles, held the ball up well, and passed the ball well too. That said, most players put in a creditable performance.

I'm even looking forwatd to Tuesday with some optimism now.

Yes, head down and going past players, something we haven't had for years. I certainly don't recall him running down blind alleys.

Great performance from Slough considering what we have had to endure recently with a top notch display from Yash. What a shame we'll miss him for presumably 3 games.

Slough now definitely safe. Bracknell unsurprisingly thrashed at Truro with the report saying that they were very poor. They'll never catch up 11 points in just eight games. They cannot change from bad to that good overnight. We couldn't, so why should Bracknell, with less resource, be able to.

Good result for Winchester but they are 13 points behind with only 7 games left. The best they can do in their wildest dreams is catch Taunton.

So, fellow Rebels, we can relax, enjoy the rest of the season and look forward to the promised land next season.

Still think one more win and to get to 40 points to make it definite for me.

Bracknell have just re-signed their top scorer who scored lots of goal for them in the run-in last season, and Winchester's form of late has not been too bad at all.

Credit were credit is due a good workman-like performance against

a reasonable Paultons side. Not to see us play for the full 90 minutes and not in patches as in previous games. And i have been

told to stop being so negative, so i will try hard. Lets have more

of the same on Tuesday against Gosport. MOM: Sinclair
