Surrey Senior Cup semi-final:

 

Ashford Town (Middx) 4-1 Epsom & Ewell

Saw the game ..Epsom should have been 1 up from a corner but went in 1 down ..nothing between the sides for the 1st half..Epsom equalised in second half then 3 quality goals sealed the tie..

An excellent performance from Epsom ...finishing was the main difference.. with a little extra fitness....

A couple of different players for Epsom today..Thought the 5 had a good game ( watch out Rattled ) and also the 7 and the 2. The 6 needs to learn to be quiet even when the decision is wrong..

All in all a good showing from a CCL side who did themselves and our league proud, and 4-1 was a bit harsh....

Indeed, all credit to Epsom, who played some lovely football and have indeed done the CCL proud.

 

I love that you comment on Ashford's fitness, Weebs... The mighty Tangerines have played 11 games in 25 days, while Epsom have had some recovery time.

 

I do know what you're saying though, and once the third goal went in Ashford started to play with a bit of confidence that has maybe been lacking a little lately. No argument from me that 4-1 was a little harsh on the Blues - I noticed the Asbo Army clapping them off at the end.

 

A good night for ATFC though - a first Senior County Cup Final awaits!

Nothing much to add really.Firstly well done Ashford who played really well. There is clearly a difference between Step 3 and Step 5 and last night just highlights what a great thing we achieved at Gander Green Lane on 9th December. My favourite result in many a long year (Sutton Utd 2 Epsom and Ewell 3 by the way)

 

Secondly a big well done to our lads for a great cup run.You can all hold your heads up high because you've done yourselves proud..and we were in this game until the last 15. So lets have a nice strong finish in the league and who knows what we can do this year or next.

C&HU 4-1 Cobham

 

Two much changed sides from our recent league encounter and C&H came out winning by 3 goals this time. Poor game to watch IMO.

 

Good luck to C&H though in the S/F

Yes, well played Ashford, a deserved victory, but having a player of the quality of Wellard really makes the difference in the centre of the park. His goal was pretty awesome.

 

Our lads kept it really tight until the final 15 and with better finishing who knows?

The main difference last night was their No 9 (Patterson-Boner?!?!) who our defence let dominate them!
