I see Guildford City beat Molesey 2 - 1 last night , did any one see the game . If so , how did the game go please.

Hi Butts, I saw the game last night and thought it was a shocking game to watch, Molesey scored after 20 mins or so and never got into any decent stride, Guildford got 2 goals deep into injury time as the end of the gameto win it.

 

Molesey did not show any passion or battle, Guildford showed a little and credit to them, they kept trying even if they were limited in what they did.

 

Thankfully I was in the stand and not at ground level otherwise my neck would be killing me from craning to see the ball !!!!

 

Am sure both side will not play as bad as this again this season and probs next.

 

Sorry if I offend either team, this is my view of the game.

 

As for the ref having to do a drop ball 3 times before the players got it right !!!!! strange mind you think he forgot it was a foul against Molesey in the 1st place and thought it was even funnier when he gave a talking to the Molesey player after be had been foulded from behind cus the fouling player injured himself !!!!

Thanks Teflon for letting me know , as we have Molesey on Sat. Have Guildford brought some new players in since Dave Tidy left as they have been picking up points too. . Still we have you in a few weeks on a Tuesday night , still we be a good game , as you have too been getting points from Teams above you.

Spot on Teflon with your view of the game. It was the second game on the trot that Guildford have come from behind and scored with the last kick of the game, great for us fans but not good for the heart!! Kevin Rayner's team is all new with a number of very young players, a team with spirt but lack a few ideas. Only Jack Smelt the keeper being from the Dave Tidy era.

Yes as above Butts, plenty of new players, young side but have been improving with points and wins recently.

 

Hahaha know the feeling SLL, yes agree you did show more team spirit the Molesey, dont know if you deserved the win but fair play for not giving up.

 

Yes hope it will be a good game Butts, should have beaten Badshot on Tuesday, played very well but could not get a 2 goal lead which I think would have then led to a hat full of goals.

 

I would expect you'd get a reaction out of Molesey come Saturday after a poor disply last night.

ha ha, spoke to Mick T on Tues at the Egham game and he mentioned it, told him that IF we are fortunate to win the championship then we wouldn't expect any of that

Wasn't at spectrum last night,comments on our forum seem to agree with Teflon.One lad reckons it's the worst he's seen us play,hoofing it all the time.We can play a decent passing game(may be not on that pitch).Don't know what's going on!!
