Nothing needs to be said on here that had not already been spoken about on the funbus about yesterdays game but just wanted to say apart from the result the day out in the funbus was a really good laugh and thanks to everyone who went.

Also can I give a big thankyou to Fuzzy for sorting it all out.

See you all Saturday.

I've had time to think about last night, digest etc etc.

Not since Claus Assenmacher failed to send Ronald Koeman off in Rotterdam for dragging David Platt to the ground have I felt so angry with an official. His inept performance cost Graham Turnip Taylor his job that night.

The officials last night were good old fashioned "homers". Not gay man lover "homers". 1970's European Cup tie "homers".

From the first minute when a forearm led challenge by the centre half was deemed acceptable, to Matt Seedel receiving a Police caution for a 50/50 challenge mid way through the first half, you just knew we'd get naff all.

We performed not to our best in the first half, and ultimately that is probably where the game was lost. HOWEVER.

Mr "I must live in a TR postcoded area" was consistently inconsistent. I havent got a clue what Fagan did to get dismissed, but I'll not disagree if he referred to the official as a pink moist bit of a lady.

Down the other end. The Truro No9 stood square on to the plump lino pointed at him and called him a Knobhead. Whilst correct (as proved moments later when he mistook the lines in the car park for the touchline), that insult was heard yet ignored.

I could go on. I'm still angry. Sometimes I wish I were a violent man, I'd have such a good time venting my anger.

As you know I'm not somebody who looks at games through rose-tinted glasses. I think I'm pretty impartial when it comes to analysing a game however for me the writing was on the wall from the very first minute, Truro Centre back out jumps Windsor forward and heads the ball out for a obvious corner, Truro defenders and some of the crowd half-heartedly appeal for goal kick, Ref (knowing its a corner but not wanting to upset the locals early doors) looks at the lino, the Lino looking worried sheepishly lifts his flag up and awards a goal kick. The Result, the Ref gives the decision he wanted to give all along by making it look like the linesman gave it.

The Ref continued this pretty cowardly form of officiating throughout the game, whenever anything happened he would trot over to his assistants and make it look like it was they who gave the decision. Even our penalty the ref wasn't going to give, he waited for the linesman to flag for it even though it was the most blatant penalty you will ever see.

I've never in 24 years of watching football seen one team be on the receiving end of so many contentious decisions. If Truro are going to play in the Southern League then the league are going to have to get officials in from further afield. Having a ref who lives in Cornwall refereeing Cornwall's most senior football club in their biggest game of the season is always going to leave people asking questions!

Still seething, my biggest disappointment is that due to the first half we gave ourselves a mountain to climb. With them hitting the crossbar twice and putting in some tasty crosses I am not sure we deserved to get anything. But in the second half wee started to play, we looked good for a point and with ten men we showed guts, determination and a lot of character. With the fourth goal came awesomely poor officiating. With the ball having left the pitch, gone to the bar, ordered a drink, chatted to the pretty local girl(?!?!) it was deemed not to have left the pitch. Not surprisingly they went through and scored. The reaction from the bench will probably get us a fine or probably point deduction if the ref has anything to do with it.

There was blatant cheating from the off and if the league choose to ignore this embarassing display and clear gamesmanship (lets delay the game by 15 minutes to let a few fans in who couldn't be bothered to turn up until after kick off, thus upsetting Windsor's preparation) then i fear for non league football. Is this even allowed, or perhaps was it the ref's idea???Maybe I will be allowed to ref Windsor's next game, i know the rules/laws (shut up Malcolm!!) which gives me a headstart over the retard last night.

Truro will now win the league, they are a good team with obvious contacts in the league that allows them to do what they like, but they will get theirs, what goes around comes around. Maybe they will falter and we will snatch the league, but I fear they will take it.

One final thing, massive crowd, and no noise, what the F**K!! For all their success and massive crowds, very poor vocal support, very disappointing.

Steve, who do we write to to complain about the ref?

Just to quantify this, I thought the Truro set up was superb, club house excellent, club shop the best I have seen and the Cornish pasties were apparently excellent (I didn't indulge). Also thanks to Kern for updating our web site, I hope the club (for the true fans involved) doesn't implode as has been seen with other clubs (Lewes for example) and the people in charge are there for the club not for their own ends. The steward we chatted with for most of the second half was a thoroughly nice chap and I am sure a reflection of the majority of people at the club. Such a shame a game of such importance was marred by such ridiculous officiating (From a Windsor point of view of course LOL!!!).

Fuzzy, delaying the kick off is allowed under the old 'Elf & Safety' and can be delayed on police advice and/or at the discretion of the referee. Just as a matter of interest, how many turnstiles were operating, as a crowd of 1,000 shouldn't really be causing any access problems at this level?

Sadly Woody I have emailed the league before when we were in the Ryman and they said they would look at his next performance. Basically they will do nothing, but I have to do something as it was disgracefula nd embarrassing yesterday, and if enough people question it they may take notice. It is also sad that only the losing team will ever do anything, so it is just sour grapes as far as anyone is concerned. But if we ignore and accept this unaccceptable level of officiating then clearly the FA will assume he is doing a good job and put him into other important matches. Imagine if we beat Winchester on the last day and if Truro can just not win we win the league, and guess who rolls up to Truro Didcot but our friendly neighbourhood biased Cornish ref....
