ha ha,i keep an eye on grays forum, simply because of my hatred for some of their dumber fans, from what i understand your above statement is poppycock, seems that some fans have become dissilussioned for some reason or another and the rumour mill has started

I have always had a decent relationship with the grays staff from club secretsry, who was living in upminster to the managment and former players who left us in 2004 to join grays(apart from steve judascunt nick a photo off the wall west

The truth of the matter is that Mick done alot for Grays but he has also made as many mistakes.

You can only live on past success for so long, the fact Mickey put no structure in place is coming to the fore, spending vast ammounts of money on players got the club so far and then everyone ran out of ideas because no one thought about the commercial part of running a football club.

As a club in the last 7 years we have not advertised in the local paper or on the local radio, thats just 1 in a long line of examples of where the club has not helped its self.

Maybe so but your crowds were ok when you first went into the conference, two trophy finals should of finally hooked the crowds in,conference football for a club who were languishing in ryman 5 years ago and a town the size of grays shouldn't need to be advertised. The truth of the matter is that they get enough national and local coverage but the locals just don't want to know.

Hornchurch are a much bigger club smile

Yeah the crowds were good but that was down to success, clubs can not guarentee success every season so it was going to be inevitable that the crowds would at some point dwindle.

Instead of the club looking at it as a challenge and trying schemes that work at other clubs they decided to appoint a family member as commercial director who did nothing.

We will all have different views on success mine is not about trophies but securing the future of the club and having a long term plan that leads to solid foundations and success, I am sure some fans at Hornchurch would understand where I am coming from a little.

I am sorry if I do not share the same view as you regarding Mickey but history is littered with the same story of buying success and most if not all of them did it to boost their own egos and fill a void in their lives.
