if things go to plan, Tuesday Apr 7 at home to Stansted, could be special night for us.. so, if is the case that a win that night would give us the title, what about opening the doors and letting everyone in for free?

My thinking was thus.. Say you did get a big turn out and 400ish turn up. If we play well and new kids on the block see us lift the trophy, a good evening to be had by all.. if say just ten of that extra 300 decided they enjoyed themselves that much and promised to return next season, do the math.

I see your point Coup but in the hear and now we still have bills to pay match day and the only place it's coming from is the gate. You can't rely on goodwill. The Boro faithful will pay ( God Bless Them ) but the others wont!

Extra programmes sold and bits and pieces that the kids want dad to buy them will make up a lot of the short fall and Speculate to accumulate is worth the risk. A raffle for a season ticket or 2 to be announced in the press ar a later date will keep next season in mind for people.

 

Look for the positives and ways to overcome the negatives.

I gues 97% or so of our support has travelled from Romford so we need to try and attract local support from the Aveley area. Reduced/free admission is an idea worth considering, but perhaps at the beginning of the season, rather than the end. If people do enjoy themselves another home game should be very soon. Whatever happens there must be a turnstile operative in attendance. We can't afford people to think their work is unimportant.

I think if it is the chance to win the title that there will be a big crowd and you could do with the money. However I take Coups point and sometimes doing something like that pays dividends in the long run.
