If we can avoid the drop

How will we do next season if we stay up,i feel that with the addition of a Rob Howarth type centre foward, and prahaps the likes of a Phil Hanford in the middle a fetch and give type of player, and a decent pre season to look at who we can afford i feel we could do very well.

The way i look on things is if Ty stays and we can retain most or all of the lads we have apart from the one`s Terry dosen`t need and he brings in one or two experienced lads like Billy Edwards or Mark Munday or even Jimmy jackson we would find it very easy to get a quick return to the prem .

BUT WE AINT GONE DOWN YET AND UNTIL THE TABLE SAYS WE ARE GONE ,

WE AIN`T GONE YET

UP THE GATE .

I think we can stay up, but the Harrow match is going to be a real six pointer. On current form I think we deserve to stay up. We may have another lifesaver if Harlow lose thier appeal against the three point deduction, and ,there are some crucial matches on Tuesday that can will really shake things up. With TY and Nev still in charge next year I think we will challenge for promotion. I am also hoping that with the managements connections we can have some decent opposition in pre season friendlies. Theres nothing like getting a couple of decent league clubs in to get people through the turnstiles and generate some much needed funds. As we've seen over these past few months, there is little between us and the top clubs in this division.

It all revolves around the next four matches for us. H v Billericay, A v Heybridge and Harrow, and H v Ramsgate. We should be looking for at least 10 points. That then sets us up for the last two games.

Absolutely my thinking. At worst though, the aim has to be to get as many points on the board as possible! Fourth bottom could find themselves getting a reprieve so there's lots to play for going right down to the last game.

Why is that Porka ?

Where could third from bottom get the reprieve-my only thought was if Hornchurch and grays merged-but that looks unlikely to happen very quick if at all.

I can't see where else it may come from but would love to be wrong.

Not this season. Under normal circumstances the bottom 4 of the 3 divisions will be relegated. Paul's point is spot on that when you look back at past season and consider some ofthe issues facing other clubs, 4th from bottom could get a reprive (who was it last year?) but I'd rather we didn't rely on that of course!

How would Fisher change things ?

If they are in difficulty ,then surely that just means one less from conf. south relegated and does not change things in ryman premier ?

watch out for a few clubs going into admin after 23rd march (hopefully none very close to home !! ) as after 23rd, any points deduction is taken next season-not this

How would Fisher change things ? .....

Depends how far they fall. If they resigned from Conference South & applied to be admitted to the Ryman League they could be allocated a place in Div 1 (rather like Canvey a couple of seasons ago) who resigned from Conference & applied to join Ryman League - they had to restart at Ryman 1 level.

If that were the case there would be only 3 teams relegated to Division 1.

Alternatively Fisher could fold altogether, so only 3 get relegated from Conf.South, 3 from Ryman Premier Level and one extra gets elected to Ryman 1 level.

No.

It relates to clubs being deducted points for going into administration-that is what todays deadline/waterbreach date relates to.

I anticipate therefore a few clubs going into administration after todays deadline and thus taking their chances on next season (as before-hopefully none too close to home !)

On a separate matter re:dates-what is the date of last loan signings deadline-is that also today ?

Other potential deductions-e.g.outcome of 'the harlow appeal' would relate to this season.
