Application to the Combined Counties League

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Our club has applied to join the Combined Counties League Division 1 next season.

The following facilities will be in place:

Pitch barrier

Dugouts (8 person)

Hard standing (down 1 side)

Changing rooms (20+ sq metres)

Clubhouse (with adjoining room for directors etc)

Within the next year we are looking to install the following:

Floodlights

Hard standing (remaining 3 sides)

Covered accomodation (min 50 people)

I would appreciate a view from clubs/spectators within the league already. Do you think these facilities are of the required standard? Is there anything else we should consider?

Please let me know if you require any further information.

Regards,

Daniel

Eversley FC

I think you need a grade G for CCL Div 1, what you've got sounds like a good starting base and not sure about the one side of hard standing and also the need for floodlights (most current Div 1 sides dont have them)

See FA requirements for step 6 link below

Alternatively to find out what the entry requirements are for the league contact them directly

The league provided us with a G-min ground grading guide. The main difference between this and the G grade were no floodlights, however a realistic plan must be in place to install them.

Of the 18 current CCL 1 sides, how many have floodlights and meet the G grade?

Thanks for your help. Trying to ensure that our application is as strong as possible.

Of Div 1 sides with lights, Dorking, Farnham, Westfield, Frimley Green, Hanworth Villa, MVSCR, Feltham, South Park have them,(sorry if I've missed any) out of 18 so I take back the comment that most don't have them Sorry wink

As it is a few years since I've been to most of the grounds I cant comment on how their facilities are now and how does and doesn't make that grade, am sure 1 or 2 wont from previous post on here.

I agree with Teffers on the ONE SIDE of hard standing. This might need addressing.

Hi Daniel

By the sounds of it you have better facilities than at least three sides in the league already that I can think of straight away. (I won't mention names but they have NO hardstanding, NO permanent railings etc). Not sure if you need lights in place though to actually get in.

Tefs.. add Sheerwater to that one although not sure if they play under the lights or not.

There used to be more teams so I would think the CCL would like to have 20. Saying that I think the FA would like 20 in the Premier and 20 in Div 1 (there's 22 in the Prem at the moment).

I think the lack of floodlights is maybe a worry about increasing teams as we don't get many midweek games but used to have loads when we were in the Premier Division.
