Firstly the link makes you go to the official site, why is that a bad thing ?

Secondly i thought the idea was donating to breast cancer research where all you seem concerned about is getting a football shirt.

Thirdly is it the same help you were offering before ?

Stu,

Links to the Official Site rather than reposting the article in full on here direct further traffic and visitors to the Official Site rather than this unofficial, yet mainly used, discussion forum. The reason to post the link is to ensure we get the maximum exposure of our website rahter than the discussion forum. The more traffic it receives and therefore the more popular it is, the more attractive it will be to advertisers and club sponsors.

The story regarding the pink shirt is on the website with an email link contained within the news article which other people have used with success already. Don't see the problem with this as it stands.

Club shop area on the site is being looked into and will be setup for next season utilising paypal to allow for credit card purchases to be made through the website.

You have my details from old discussions, you have the option to discuss things via PM on here, email or on a matchday as I am sure your ideas of marketing the club would be wholly appreciated.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Stu,

The pink shirt story provides the details of the person you need to contact and if you click on their name you are able to e-mail the relevant person - novel idea I know - glad I was able to "market" that for you.

The whole point of forcing you to the site for the story is so that you see the advertising etc which makes it a potentially more profitable site. I believe that may have something to do with marketing.

Why are you so keen on getting the pink shirt and merchandise from the club shop when you are unable to get to a game? Is it because you plan to flog it on on Ebay in a few years time for a profit?

You seem a very negative person who never gets to a Slough game yet loves to criticise. Unless you pays your money you can really have no justification for the endless moaning. But it is not surprising that you are so miserable given that you support Palace.

Customer: 'Ello, Miss?

Owner: What do you mean "miss"?

Customer: I'm sorry, I have a cold. I wish to make a complaint!

Owner: We're closin' for lunch.

Customer: Never mind that, my lad. I wish to complain about this parrot what I

purchased not half an hour ago from this very boutique...............

Oh dear, let's all calm down a bit shall we?

Firstly, let's try to remember that the club website and the club shop are run by volunteers, it's not a paid position and they all have other jobs which take up most of their time. Therefore, let's try to keep the tone of suggestions being posted to these hard working types civil.

Personally, I think it would be a good idea to get the club shop online, the problem is that if we suddenly get a surge of people asking for merchandise, we may well run out and it takes a while to replace the stock - but I'm sure most ardent slough supporters won't mind waiting for a bit before receiving their goods through the post.

As for the point about bouncing people from this site to the main one - I think I side with Gary on this one. Having been heavily involved in the world of websites for commercial purposes, it is incredibly important for the main club site to get traffic figures up, and one way of doing this is encouraging the users of this forum to visit it regularly. If the clicks per month figures are good, we're more likely to get sponsors offering banners and skyscraper ads for the site.

Why complain?

Why not point out your issues in a pm to the appropriate people?

Your original comments got peoples backs up as it was directed negatively at the people who put time, energy and money (more than

No no, Stupalace is correct. Chris, Gary, Matt and myself will just stop everything we are doing including our jobs for the next month so we can russell up a club shop for him.

Its not as if we don't have anything better to do with our spare time either.

Stu, is it any wonder you get the tone of response when you're posting with an aggressive attitude yourself?

You have my details for club shop/Breast Cancer Research shirt information as we've spoken before by private message and email, so why the problem in repeating this to submit your offer for one of the shirts? Just to reiterate, the money (after expenses), will all be going to Breast Cancer Research NOT THE CLUB.

Why should we not want to show off our website? It is one of the better ones in non-league football and certainly better in design than the carbon copy Pitchero and Premium TV ones found in the football league. Would you not agree that the website would be a very good way in modern times of helping to raise the profile of the club again and not on an unofficial message board?

We have already received a number of orders for the club shop items through email this season alone and have been able to process these through cheque payment for people both inside and outside the UK.

Again, I look forward to receiving either an email or PM from you and I am quite happy to talk to you on the phone if you PM me your mobile number.

Should also reiterate that the online club shop is a good idea, but not a new one - it is one of the things that will be done in the close season (isn't that right Chris wink), but requires a lot of time and effort (unpaid) to set up. As Gary said, it will enable people to buy using PayPal. And there is currently an STFC eBay shop set up, which has sold programmes and the like, raising funds for the Trust/Club.

Stu I would like to introduce to '. Apostrophe please meet Stu. He is an angry man. I will try to arrange an introduction to capital letters in due course.

I am not sure I follow your logic - anyone specifically wishing to purchase something from the club shop can make contact through the site. Simply.

The club would much rather have fans regularly coming through the turnstiles than the occasional purchase of a mug online. Although all sales are good sales. We are in the 8th tier of English football and are unlikely to attract a lot of interest from the casual shopper. Most people will have some connection with the club or the town and therefore have no difficult in obtaining what they need.

If you are so keen on a Pink shirt, I'd give Palace a miss and turn up at a game. They are going quick what with being limited edition and for charity. Why is it that everytime someone suggest turning up at a game you get hostile and defensive?

Is Beaconsfield really harder and more expensive to get to than Selhurst Park?

God i hate pitchero, well done on a great website it has to be said. As has been said all these requests require volunteers, very easy to complain with words but people not so easy to put themselves forward to do the tasks themselves. An online shop is a good idea for those who live further away, running an ebay site requires a lot of time packing things up to go out to people but can be a good source of funds for the club.

Good to here the breast cancer sponsorship is going well so quickly.

so where can i see whats available in the club shop and the old online shop link that used to be on the old site ????

yes the 8th tier in english football but with a rich past history , some great fa cup wins and some great ex players and perfomances its all about pro-active sales . club merchandise is the easiest way to do this and a mail order shop would be a great way to do this .how long would it take someone to wrap up some shirts , mugs and programmes and take them to the post office

er , read back through the thread your the one who started being hostile about me not going to slough games and other comments . how long would it take to wrap up
