That's not what I saw..the handsome bit. smile

A word of advice from an ex ref.Try not to chat to your mates on the pitch/urging them on whilst you are doing the line. Its unprofessional & can cause problems.

I've seen a few lino's this season answer back to players remonstrations also. They shouldn't be doing it & it's not a sign of an official concentrating on his job & it most definately makes them look weak.

Similarly with fans berating officials (guaranteed most games). You have to ignore them & just get on with what you are there for.

Concentrate,be impartial,be strong & give decisions that you feel are the correct ones.

Being young you can go far so good luck. It's a thankless & frustrating job but an enjoyable one nevertheless.

I thought that Coleman had an absolute howler, which must have been very frustrating for Shane Brown (who was on the bench) and in my opinion the player that has improved the most this season.

I could only get there for the second half and i counted him off-side at least 7 times.

Speaking to others they said that his first half performance was much the same. Can't see him being around next season.

1st Half Alan he was playing Left back in a 4-4-2 formation and 2nd half they played 3-5-2 and he went left wing.

Cheers Cookie, yes you can't talk coz you must concentrate on the game 100% which I was but ok Next time I won't chat.

Spuring people on is actually the way I like to Referee, if you ever want to watch me ref you are more than welcome, I like to let the game flow and I play loads of advantages!

Example...

If I'm going to be honest if 2 players are shoulder to shoulder and the defending player is tugging the attackers shirt always like to see the attacker run away with the ball.

Man management and communication,, did you use this when you refereed?

Why don't you come to the Cup Final I've been given this year ? lol

Sorry Xander I spoke to Neville and saw his team sheet it was a 3-5-2 formation. Yes Aaron did have to get back to defend though.

What cup final do you have?

Must say I've noticed the officials talking more and more to players informally this season. The funniest was during a Ryman League game (not involving Margate). Tricky wide player was bearing down on a full back. Linesman started shouting at the defender 'don't foul him! don't foul him!' Defender then ploughed into his opponent who had to be stretchered off.
