AGM minutes are usually sent round just prior to the next AGM - This is customary practice.

As for minutes of the meeting on Wednesday. I doubt that they were taken (though the secretary was doing a lot of writing) The meeting was not a constitutional meeting but a meeting of "supporters" who were given the opportunity to question the board and management. Questions were asked and answers given. If you have any questions seek out a board member at a match.

Thanks for that Steph. You might well be right but can't recall ever receiving any AGM minutes prior to the last AGM. Who on the board usually sends these out to members?

Unfortunately,I was unable to attend the recent Wednesday meeting. What exactly was the purpose of the meeting and,in your opinion, did it address key issues and achieve its objectives from a members point of view?

Reading though a number of the subsequent postings there does appear to be mixed feelings,as to how it went on the night, and particular concerns with regard to off the field issues, such as club communication and finance. Are these concerns justified and were you personally happy with the answers given on the night?

The meeting was necessary as there had been some unpleasant comments about management and board matters. There was obviously a feeling of frustration - which, incidentally, I did not share - with the management and the turnover of players.

Some members had written asking for a meeting within the terms of the constitution. So this meeting was arranged. A signatory to the letter had clearly had second thoughts since it was written.

There have been 3 management teams through the season and it was my view that it was a nonsense to have 4. There had been and, no one disputes this, that the last change has improved Town's performances and this was said by the management at the meeting. They quoted the results which nobody could dispute. I said my bit that I felt that the performance at Leyton was not acceptable and left satisfied that it was not acceptable to either the management or the board.

As for communication - I am not critical of that aspect of the club. I have always been informed of what is going on and I feel that if members really do feel that there needs to be an improvement then they should get of their ***es and do the improvement. It is a members owned club and it is no use sniping from the side lines.

Thanks for your explanation Steph. Pleased to hear that you personally are generally happy with the communication aspect within the club. Don't know if that is the general consensus of opinion, but do agree that there are some issues that can't be changed simply by exchanging views on a forum such as this.

Think the problem comes when members of a members owned club ask elected board members in writing, questions relevant to a key issue, and don't get a response.

You don't mention club finance in your reply. Was this discussed at the meeting and,if so,are you happy and convinced, from what you heard, that the club's financial future is healthy and secure?

Steph, don't know if you have seen audited accounts, have inside information, or are an accountant or financial person. But I am curious to know how or why you are so confident,in this serious ongoing recession, that the club is financially sound when income streams ie. gate-takings,sponsorship,etc are all suffering and we still have to generate substantial extra revenue from somewhere to fund the QE Stadium project. Perhaps you could share your information.

Do you not think YOU are being a little short-sighted about this ?
Do YOU actually represent Brimsdown Rovers FC or Brimsdown Sports and Social ?
Look at the ground now and think of it with just the half-way line "shed" - no other cover or seats etc and the ground / pitch maintenance being carried out WITHOUT ETFC assistance.

Time to think again old chap.

Andy-You had the opportunity to ask this repetitive question at the meeting, now I will ask a senior respectable board member for you next time I'm at a Town game and maybe you'll stop asking this question.

Off the top of my head, if we arrange a couple of prestigious friendlies for the cause of our new ground then a gate of 3,000-4,000 to watch say for example West Ham/Spurs first team would generate 30k-40k at a
