Right, I know this is completely off topic and nothing to do with football, and will only concern you older supporters but here we go. When I was a child I lived in Kingsgate and would often walk from there along the coast path to Margate. I can remember after the coastguard station there was a large fenced off area which looked like it was a disused military compound with a nuber of buildings and what were probably bunkers. It would have been between the cliffs and probably Palm Bay Ave. Does anybody else recall the place and what it might have been. Its just one of those things that you remember from when you were a kid and wonder what it was. Any takers?

Was that near where the old radar/radio mast was and something to do with the RAF? Fairly near Northdown Park.

Yes, it was a radar station of some sort. may have crossed paths with "margateshot" years ago w/o realising it!
