Ferguson played for Tonbridge today in their 3-0 away win at Carshalton.

Where to start? Injuries all over the place Duncan, Bricknell missing, Wareham and Cole off in the first half, Heffer in the 2nd. Workrate was OK, but desperately lacked quality, particularly our passing. One shot on target all game. Hunter sent off at 2-0 (as was one of their players).

My complaint about the re-signing of Shave was that it sent out the wrong message viz-a-viz discipline - that a player who was bombed out after costing us in the FA Trophy would be welcomed back with open arms. Our discipline was poor today - Hunter getting a red, Shave, Cole and Hodges all fortunate not to be likewise. We've had a terrible season with red cards and accumulation of yellows - I make it 8 so far - and it's not helping us. I had thought that post Ashford, we seemed to be cleaning up a bit, but the bad habits were out in force today.

I think in the last couple of weeks everyone has had their chance to have a good old moan-up and of course as I'm sure they'll remind us have every right to - blah blah blah.

The facts are we've got what we've got. Like it or lump it. Take it or leave it. For whatever reason we finished the game with three 17 year olds on the pitch today and these lads need our support.

This constant whinging needs to stop. In my view it's now having a seriously negative effect on the team's performance. If it bothers you that much then I suggest you stay at home and watch Jeff on Sky.

We've somehow got to get 11 on the pitch for a big game on Tuesday and I really hope that those who turn up will get behind whatever team we stick out.

Unfortunately, I can't go on Tuesday but hopefully supporters will still turn up and support the team like today, and every other game.

Like jl said, we ended the game with three 17 year olds on the field. To moan at the team whilst these players are playing can effect their performance. And to be honest, I thought that they all done well when they came on.

I will say, injuries did take over again today, with only 1 senior striker up front, attacking options were limited. Wareham going off injured as well today, not looking good.

On Tuesday we have 3 players cup-tied already, so along with the injuries, it could be a difficult task to get a fit 11 on the pitch.

It wasn't as bad as Tuesday, the work effort was there, trying to win balls, and in the first 40 mins I thought we were the better side, but some poor defending led to their goals.

Was there moaning then? I'd say the mood was "stoic" in my section of crowd.

I also thought the 3 youngsters did well.

Shame about Shaves Yellow at the end. He'd played a well disciplined game up 'till then.

With several key players out and others playing out of postion it was going to be difficult to get anything out of the game. We rarely threatened going forward, although the passing was better than recent games.

Imo the ref was overly fussy and very quick to show his cards. I couldn't see whether the reds were justified but there were a couple of 'soft' yellows in there.

Hopefully some of the injured players will be back for Tuesday night. After that (and hopefully a final) the rest of the season is about building for next year and making sure the squad is made up of players who want to play for the club and not just themselves.

Difficult to know what to write after yesterday...

I agree with jl. We have what we have and included in that were three 17 years olds. We quite probably will have more on Tuesday.

I hate to ask people to stay at home but if you can't get behind the team and just show up to vent your spleen and get what frustrations you feel out on the team, then I would concur with jl. Those young lads do not deserve that. And it doesn't need to be at them...they pick up the negativity aimed at others and are effected...Oh and they can read.

Those young lads played well and the majority of the senior players put effort in but at the end of the day, it was all "huff and puff".

Result aside, hope you enjoyed your visit. Neither team played much football and I do wonder if the over bouncy comic relief ball had something to do with it.

We had four chances and scored three whilst the only save i recall from our keeps was when we gave the ball away and your forward hit it straight at him.

Ironically we played better in recent defeats but I suppose that's football.

Quick mention for our two goal scorer Bruno who is only 16 and took both goals really well.

Finally, from my viewpoint Paul Shave looks like a disciplinary timebomb. Elbows out with every jump and very lucky only to get a booking.

I didn't hear anyone having a pop at the players yesterday. I thought we were unlucky not to have gone in level at the break. The second goal killed us and the game went through the motions from then on. It's a tough love supporting Billericay at the moment, and it's beginning to show with regular supporters drifting away. We can only hope for some positive news on the player front soon.
