we will miss them when they have gone??

Recommended Posts

it looks like the romfordites will soon be leaving our league, well have they been a force of good or bad for the ESL?

personally i would like to see them go on and prosper as i kind of feel like everythings right in the world when famous old clubs like dover and dartford get back on their feet, find a ground of their own and make their mark again.

whenever ive chatted to the romford fans they are certainly amongst the most knowledge bunch about not just on their team but on non league in general and they do have that hardcore of followers that have stuck with them through the hard times,i and my club will miss them next season as you always look forward to their visit despite the fact that they do tend to moan like feck, last week i told them to stop moaning only to be told "thats the only reason we come to have a good moan".

Like Princess Diana, Romford will never be gone, there will always be a place in our hearts for them.

Ha Ha, Last season Romford were 5-0 up when Hookey Jnr came on and Basildon scored a consolation. I started pointing at the Romford contingent and shouting "You're not singing anymore"... If looks could kill. grin

To right Hooky. You have no consideration for our goal difference. I remember when Bowers beat us 4-1 in the league, and Smallsy and Dean Allen were giving one of our supporters ( Barry Quantrill ) loads of stick. He was frothing at the mouth. Still never one to bear a grudge he has hated them to this day.

I'll have to keep you back a proggie for next week. I'm doing a feature on Bowers legends and you're the only one in it!

I'll make sure it goes in. After all it's still more than what Basildon have won for the past 15 years or so.

romford could still fck it up if people keep thinking it's in the bag. nothing like celebrating early and singing stuff like "we'll never play here again" to make the football gods sit up and take notice and interfere...

so bearing this in mind, i'd like to say congrats on the inevitable promotion romford. job done, in the bag, start engraving the trophy now. ps - please be aware that you shouldn't really kiss the trophy as an unnamed hornchurch player wiped his c0ck all over it, therefore proving that trophy kissers, like badge kissers, are gay.
