According their manager he had the strongest team he could put out.He made no excuses and when one of his players said:"I don't know how we haven't won it" he replied saying "because they are a good side.We had most of the possession but they never gave up".I have to say we played a lot of teams this year but they were the best side we played all season and nice people as well.I wished them well for the play-offs. applause

This is Brentwood Town match report.

EAST ANGLIAN CUP 1st ROUND

HULLBRIDGE SPORTS 2 (Wilson 26, Hart 90+1)

BRENTWOOD TOWN 1 (Glozier 90 (pen))

Brentwood crashed out of the East Anglian Cup despite a late penalty from Danny Glozier, which looked as though it would send the tie into extra time.

Glozier converted from the spot in the 90th minute after Lee Perry had been fouled in the box, but the home side snatched a dramatic win in stoppage time when Mick Hart headed in a corner kick.

Brentwood fielded a strong side and had some good chances, especially in the first half, but Hullbridge played very well and they took a 26th minute lead when Lloyd Wilson, a former Brentwood player, scored with a great strike that went in off the far post.

Brentwood Town: Pyne, Love, Glozier, Good, Stokes, Parratt, Holmes, Street (Henty 46), Stanley (Hahn 66), Higgins (Carroll 46), Perry

The reason you beat them is obvious from the highlighted comment. They must have been on crack!

What an extraordinarily strange and selfish attitude that is! Are you saying that although Coachie's wife is Coachie's wife what ever she does for her husband in the way of cooking has absolutely nothing to do with Hullbridge FC although Coachie is the manager of the club and food that she prepares is given to his football team?

give credit where its due, he has beat a strong looking brentwood who will go on to be promoted this season that say's two things to me, that hullbridge are a very good team and that the ESL is strong this year.

well done coach
