But seriously though when subject of a Kent/Essex merger has been discussed in previous times on this and other forums I have suggested that the logical answer to mid week games would be for Essex to play Essex and Kent to play Kent with inter county games at weekends only. Where this just isn't possible just play midweek matches between teams not that far each side of the DC.

But I would sincerely hope that it never comes to such a merger.
