Kazaa is fine, GHA, if you are looking for just one song. Problem is that companies such as EMI are flooding it with "Dodgy files" ie you download a song but when you listen to it the song stops half way through or is just bad quality.

 

If you have broadband may I suggest DCC+ or Direct Connect just do a search on Google.

They are Peer to Peer clients and it's the best way to download whole albums (DCC+ is easier to use by the way)

To use these you need to share a certain amount of files (usually about 2gig).

If you do'nt have much on you PC just "rip" some of your CD's onto your hard drive and share those.......

Oh and with the pop-up thing - make sure you haven't got "GATOR" installed on your PC. It is normally bundled with shareware - and I's a pain in the but!

do you know how to uninstall gator, or at least get them off your tail, still get stupid gator pop-ups after dumping kazaa..

Try Spy-bot, its worked for me (I was the one who lost his internet connection after uninstalling KaZaa)

It can take a while to search your system, but from what I've seen its very thorough.
