shocking result! shocking performance! bateman needs to either shape up and stamp his authority on this team or get rid of some of these players or hes no better than sweetman based on this outing.

dont be surprised to see at least 2 or 3 players go

i cant believe how shockingly bad that 3rd goal conceded was. what on earth was we doing playing a short free kick behind Fermie for?? we just about got away with doing the same thing minutes beforehand and then nearly did the same from a corner as well

cant remember us even looking like scoring or even a 2 minutes spell of pressure on their defence

yes bateman needs time but that was an absolutely shocking performance against a team just a few points above us. im stunned at how bad we were

We're only 3 games in! I was hopeful we could win tonight too, but on reflection, Steve Bateman has a lot of work to do in terms of working out what system to play, who to keep and who to bring in. This will take time and just because we got a comfortable win on Saturday, it doesn't mean we'll now go on a good run.

Has to be said though, that was the worst performance I've seen from a Slough Town team in some time - and that includes some woeful showings with lesser players over the last two seasons. We can justifiably expect more from our current squad in terms of effort and ability, there was so so much lacking tonight.

I see Bracknell won tonight - they really need the points as a win could take them out of the bottom two, so this Saturday will be a tough one.

Oh sat will be massive, and agreed steve has some hard work on his hands but unless he does it quickly i can see the change from sweetman to come back and haunt us as youd expect players to react to a new manager (not just 1 game as saturday showed!) and that should garentee a few points at least but with games agains teams around us these players should be beating them, but i have to admit i now believe its the players we have at the moment not wanting to play for slough and pick up good money by all accounts! and not just sweetmans or batemans faults as managers! steve get tough get the waste out and get players you KNOW will perform for you QUICK!

So bitterly disapointed is an understatement...on reflection we have to see how we react on Saturday we must must keep the faith..I really do believe that we have the right man this time and need to allow the dust to settle, I am sure we will see some changes...and the most important thing is we must not panic and those players that did not perform tonight, must draw a line under this and move on quickly..

I wasn't at the game and can't comment on how good or bad we were, but one thing I can say is that the management has been around now for 3 games and ONLY one training session, which was last Thursday.

Nothing much will happen until he has had a few training sessions with them, and he is able to show what he wants.

'steve get tough get the waste out and get players you KNOW will perform for you QUICK!'

Slightly worrying but on last nights performance this might include the players he has brought in and THOUGHT they could do a job for him!

Also, I couldn't believe the 'positions' Romeo, I would assume was asked to play, played last night. He was playing a cross between right wing, right midfield, right back and central defender!

Our second top scorer was absolutely wasted last night.

Again Bateman is making the same mistake that Sweetman kept making in trying to accomodate three forwards into the team.

Switching one of them into the role of midfielder/defender is not the answer!

I won't mention the ref. who is certainly in the running for worst I've seen this season.
