Tiptree Issue Statement Over Future

CLUB STATEMENT

In light of rumour and speculation during the last few days, the Club feels it important to release the following Statement so that its Members, Players, Supporters and other local football followers can be kept fully in the picture regarding the Clubs aspirations for next season and beyond.

Everyone will be aware of the difficult financial climate in which most Clubs like our own are currently operate within, as well as our continued commitment to develop the new stadium and to progress up the football pyramid. With this in mind, the Club

Does anyone else think that Tiptree, as well as cutting costs, also see the ESL as an easier league to win than the ECL, so that they start life in their new ground with Step 4 football?

Witham certainly look done for in Ryman One North, eight points adrift of safety, so it'd be a straight swap with Romford - unless, in their wisdom, they put Boro into the Southern League (it's not beyond them!).

FC Clacton showed they're definitely good enough for the ESL this season too ... frown

Only if they let us rebuild Brooklands play against Barnet, Wimbledon and Yeovil and re-engineer Robin Chandler!

They tried for this season of course but were turned down because ( I believe ) they were not high enough in the ECL Div 1 to qualify for promotion from Step 6 to our ESL Step 5.

Hope they do manage to make it this time if possible. A minimum 18 team ESL would be good for next season!

They're 4th in ECL 1st Division, 3 points behind Halstead Town, but with 4 games in hand. They should be promoted from such a position. To the ECL Premier or ESL who knows?

Based on last season it should be the ESL if they qualify.

Something published on a club website yesterday is hardly 'old news' Coachie and I also saw it on the TK site yesterday and thought about copying it and dropping it onto the ESL forum but Coupy beat me to it.

But you've already proved to us that you can see into the future so I'm not too surprised that you knew about it before the event actually occurred!
