Good hard earned performance tonight watched by 160 supporters.

Thanks must go to the Concord 'keeper for flapping at a cross to give us our winner.

Funiest thing of the evening was a confrontation between one of our supporters and the referee. I thought he was going to send him off!!!

On another thread I was asked about whether we had named an unchanged starting 11 this season...

Well tonight we named not only an unchanged starting 11 but an unchanged bench as well.... even down to the numbers... and before anyone asks - NO! that has not happened before in our history

Do you mean we've previously had the same 11 and the same subs but with different numbering or that we've never had the same starting eleven and subs before?

It was a very good win today, that included good graft and skill when required. Pleased that D Walton contributed a fine save at the Concords strikers feet in the last 5mins as too often we let goals in in such positions. So they had a keeper that flapped we had won that saved well, credit where its due.

I thought the shape was good throughout, particularly at the tiring end of the game. Campana, Edgar, Ellis, Wild and Mackie looked very good McCoy and Jones are forming a formidable central midfield partnership.

Tonights game was a tougher test than Saturdays, and this Saturday will be tougher than tonights so we are getting a sniff of what our team has the potential of achieving.

I think the present management team of SM, SB and Mickey the coach are the ones to carry us on through next season.

I spoke to the guys at length tonight and they all spoke great logic in our clubs position with falling attendences and less money around for players wages, in all they are doing a great job in the circumstances.

I think a new nucleas is forming. If you cant have some affinity to our players then its the suppoerters problem, cos I find Ellis, Wild, Walton, Jones, Allen and Deane as fixture and fittings of our club now, with Edgar, McCoy, Mackie, growing on me and of course theirs young Healy who has come through the youth system.

We need to add about 6-7 quality squad members in the summer and go for it, in the meantime bring on ETU, should be another cracker.

3 points shouldn't be allowed to cover up what was not a great performance against a poor performance from one of the sides that we should have been expected to beat pre-season and then the victory owed a lot to the two keepers, theirs for a very poor game and ours for a very good save late on.

We still have the same problems as we did before the weekend.
