Also as dave says, what about the quiz night that is planned for that evening

Agreed. On Saturday things were still up in the air. Yesterday they weren't. That's almost 48 hours for people to talk to each other to agree the date/venue, so to suggest in a knee-jerk fashion that no-one's been consulted and our club just arbitrarily moved the date without speaking to AFC Hornchurch isn't just unfair, it's quite frankly insulting.

Well I'm p1ssed off, I have my sons team on Sundays, so Hendonboy and the rest of your lot can go and stick it where the sun dont shine........take that as an insult if you want.........

my problem isn't the fact that this game has to be played sunday,it will affect some people and mean others can get to the game.my problem is that hendon must of known about this when they moved to wembley 3/4 months ago and it has been left to the last minute which is bad for the fans

Calm down. Only jesting.

BB's misfortune is my good fortune.

I understand how he feels.

Truble is, i have to choose every week.

I could have made the Harrow game tonight, but not on April 7th.

While obviously not from us, Bitch's post above pretty much addresses this. We don't have a home ground this season - while most of our games since Christmas have been able to be played at Vale Farm, by no means all have.

In general, we do admittedly have a policy of trying to play at Vale Farm where possible (as it'll be our home from next season), and if Wembley are at home, we've tended to offer the option of Friday night or Sunday afternoon to our opposition - their option. If they decline the offer then we will do our best to then find another venue to host the game. Unless another venue then can't be found and the league steps in, both sides have to agree to any change of date. Canvey and Maidstone have both exercised their right to play on Saturdays - your club chose not to in the end.

On only one occasion has it not been possible to find something that's free - some clubs want to protect their pitches, others have reserve sides using their grounds, pro-sides reserves/ladies teams and so on. When we were trying to sort something out for our game against Staines, where no less than 15 grounds were tried - as far afield as Maidenhead - but all were unavailable for one reason or another, (that figure doesn't include teams who were at home themselves that day). In the end, the league stepped in on this one and forced Staines into a Friday or Sunday game, but that's been the only case where circumstances have forced it and our opponents haven't ended up with the option of a Saturday game.

Blackballed - no problem with you or anyone else being hacked off, so long as the anger's directed in the right places... to both clubs for agreeing or alternatively to those that kicked us out of Claremont Road back in September and caused this problem in the first place. Scant consolation, I know, but we've also got a few that'll be having to miss the game thanks to involvement with youth football.

Hope to see as many as possible there on Sunday week.
