How was Hastings?

Football was complete toilet but was still a good day.

 

Food was very good, frindly bar staff and fans and very pleasant to be able to have a few beers whilst watching the game.

 

Weather was good as well. Shame we played absolute [****!!****] after playing so well against Ricay on Tuesday.

Sorry we could not consult each and every fan of your club. But, since we lost our home the price of stampage is beyond our reach. We've scraped around for clubs willing to host us just so our beloved club that has a rich history in our town can survive and not become another statistic.

 

Obviously we know it may interfere with your Sunday roast - after all we are all footy fans and enjoy a good roasting on a Saturday (preferably) Unfortunately we are not in a position to be choosey.

 

The much maligned Ryman Officionado were accomodating enough to ensure our survival this season by allowing us to become gypos and scraping games at any camp ground we can.

 

Sorry we've ruined your one Sunday in a season. Please forgive us and we'll see our way clear to giving you 3 points...

i have a soft spot for hendon as my first ever urchins game was a pre season match v hendon when i was about 6,my dads mate who played for hendon that day now lives in acacia which is an extension of bridge avenue.

I also have a soft spot for the original Enfield as this is where i scored my first hattrick for heath park

(2 in my own net and a stunning 3 yarder in the oppositions,think it was against cenrab)

I don't mind a sunday game,just think its good manners to inform the other club,saying that,it is possible that hendon have informed someone and it has got put to one side what with all the upheavel at the bridge at the weekend,if thats the case then i will apologise to hendon

UM - I don't know who our secretary spoke to at Hornchurch - but I know discussions had been ongoing for a few days and a few options for dates and venues for the game had been discussed.

 

We would never just change the date or kick off time without consulting our opponents. League rules don't allow it for starters, and its also not the way we do things at Hendon.
