I attended this one yesterday and Mauritius were extremely unlucky to lose the game as they had the lions share of play throughout, Stansted must have thought Christmas had come early.

You must of been watching a different game to me.

 

Poor game, both teams gave the ball away,Mauritius scored with their only shot in the first half following a mistake by our goalie.

 

2nd half you had a couple of 40 yarders that never troubled the Stansted goal, but we had 5 chances in the first half should have had a penalty in the 2nd (even your coach admitted that in the bar afterwards) scored 3 good goals and had a couple more chances as well.

 

Fair play to your 2nd good goal on your part, striker rose well to get to the cross.

 

Funny how people see the game differently.

Are you sure you weren't watching the game outside the stadium by mistake, like I said I felt Mauritius had the lions share of play and you don't even elaborate on their first goal by former Colombian International Javier Rivera which, had Beckham scored it or Hoddle in his prime, would have been talked about till kingdom come, the second goal was actually a simple header from a pin point cross from star of the future Roberto Quattromini who did the hard part.

I believe Rhodes version of the match completely, and concur with him that Stansted had a sensational result, winning 3-2 against an All-Star South American International XI. Well done the Airportmen.

i actually would like to take back what i insinuated as i spoke to my referee this morning who was meant to be runnign the line at takeley yesterday and it was an official who called the game off.
