Billericay Town-Hastings

Well to say the least i will be dissapointed if we don't get 3 points from this one.

Hastings have lost 3 and drawn 3 of their last six matches leaving them bottom of the form table.

So...a win for us is on the cards and after our last game against them i think thats what we need to get. Remember their last visit to NL resulted in a 6-0 win!

I predict a 3-0 win and 454 watching.

Another welcome three points and we are within touching distance of being able to relax a bit.

The game was similar to so many this season in that we've been comfortably the better side yet the result has either gone against us or we've been made to sweat right til the very end. It's important that we don't discourage the lads from "buying a ticket" but finishing is just like any other part of the game and care and concentration is required.

Tucker's made a couple of fine saves late on and that meant we were able to keep another clean sheet which is a big positive although they should have been in "snookers needed" territory by then. I'm sure if we keep plugging away like we are the goals will flow soon. Tuesday would be a nice time to start although our squad is looking streched again as the injuries start to build up.

One of the Hastings lads looked like he picked up a nasty injury. I hope he's OK.

Finally well done to Ashley for winning PoTM for January. It shows how much of an improvement he has made in the eyes of the fans. Keep it up Ashley!

Come on you Blues!!

Yup another 3 points from a game that, if we had taken our chances, we would've quite probably gone into positive territory on goal difference. Saying that, I enjoyed the game, even though it was tense at times.

No game in this league can be termed as a "walkover". It takes effort and hard work as well as a slice of luck (which comes through the hard work). Hastings have a young team and after they weathered ths storm, threatened on a few occasions and gave a fair account of themselves. We did have the "lions" share of the clear cut chances but on reflection of the game, it's three points in the bag and I'm grateful for that.

Players work off of confiedence and the managers do and are doing what they can but when they cross that line, we the supporters can give them an immense boost by getting behind them. Lets keep on with the encouragement and maybe we'll see the flood gates open by giving one of our oppenents a "royal" thumping!!! (This Tuesday would be nice).

Definately deserved/should have won by a few more goals, but if you keep a clean sheet, you can only draw or win.

I thought we played well, created a lot of chances and defended well. Hastings didn't really threaten the goal much untill the final 5/10 minutes of the second half.

Even if we don't give a team a hammering one of these days, I will be more then happy to win 1-0 each time, giving a team a good hammering will definately help our goal difference.

On to Tuesday now and hopefully more of the same.

Pre ko, it was good to see Matt Game in the warm up, and at the final whistle I liked Fergie's celebration.

Another good win, loads of chances created, and if we keep doing that the goals will come.

But in the end our three points were ground out by hard work (and a couple of superb saves from Tucker)

Well done lads, top effort and a well deserved three points.

Good crowd too
