another town player is palyign at two levels higher. I saw him play well for Newport when they won away at Hampton on Tuesday (coudln't amek Leyton too far to get too after work)

Newport also have Kevin Cooper ex Wolves on their books, as well as Dean Holdsworth as manager.

Makes me think that a manager who had palyed at a decent level would be able to bring in better players, see Holdsworth at Redbridge for an example of that.

I just can;t see how we let players go who then play two divisions above us? I knwo why the players move, but why don't we try to keep these players?

Kevin Stephens is a good player, he'd get straight back into our team, but he left, he gets (allegedly) more money and plays a higher level, which club would you be at? It'll take a right stalwart to stay.

 

But next season with a fresh budget and no doubt revolving doors (double doors quite possible), escalators and lifts we hope to have the right players at our club and not the jolly up merchants.
