Slough New Dream Manager !!!

I must have had a premonition about Steve Bateman being our manager! He is my second choice dream manager behind Steve Thompson[see my previous posting-Slough's Dream Manager].I hope and pray he lives up to my dreams!

 

In my view,it's how our current squad of players respond to the new boss.There's no doubting the current players ability but whether they're respond positively to the new man in charge,only time will tell.I would like to see the return of the fair-minded,honest,play for the badge and the team,sort of players ie Gary Smart,Ryan Spencer,Mark Hill,Alan Pluckrose,Mark Hawthorne etc together with the occasional footballing flair player ie Lee Endersby,Byron Bubb,Mark Fiore etc rather than these mercenary,money obsessed,foul mouthed,thug thicko mentalities, that seem to be ever more prevalent in today's footballing world and in society,in general.As I know only too well, reality doesn't always work like this. I can but dream?

 

However,I do applaud the Chairman and rest of board for making Steve Bateman's appointment,as for once,I feel it's a step in the right direction.
