Is anything happening at the stadium at the moment? I saw the planning application in the Residents Association mag a couple of weeks ago and noted that there had been some concerns raised over the proposed height. Do you think this will get the green light?

There is a meeting with the planning people on Thursday....to soon to call with regards to the stand but there's no rush.....we've already got 300 seats down that side now anyway. my opinion......might have to scale things down a bit in due course but we'll see.....

 

yes there is a lot happening as well as the stand proposals...pitch has been relaid.......general upgrading continues full time and Mick and his team are busy getting ready for the assault on the Prem title......great stuff.....

Can you give me a breif outline of what the changes are. Is the running track still going to be round the pitch?

It's Hornchurch Stadium, owned by the council (I think) so unfortunately no matter how nice it would be to rip it up for football it should really stay as there's nowhere else for the athletics club to go <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />...regardless of the fact the track's so appalingly maintained ripping it up and replacing it with sand would probably improve it! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

Maybe a word from Official is needed to give substance to the above though.
