It does raise a few eyebrows tho seeing a number of players that have played for the town this season now playing at a club in a higher league.

They obviously have the ability too, why was this not shown while at town?? maybe they were not played to there strengths?

Agree there 100%

We would write a book if we went into detail of Players out of position or not getting the best from them.

Jonesy is one of the few players left that would be capable of playing at a higher level. We've got rid of(or lost) the rest of the squad that were in that catagory.(Dauti/Hahn/Stevenson/Crace..etc).

Let's partner Jonesy in central midfield next season with a former player that is also capable of playing higher up.STEVE VELENDIA.

Something that has been said on many occasions in the past.

Well lets not be so forgetful,

Dauti-good fitness levels, dynamic and strong but played like a school boy who never held his position of Central midfield, he would very often be at right/left wing when needed most centrally.

Hahn-Did'nt do it for Town, Questionable attitude when he walked out on us having been dropped for being late at Harrow Borough away. What did he expect? a red carpet

Stevo- a very good player that left when the budget was cut (and rightly so ) if we dont have it we cant give it.

Crace- had one good season and got himself involved with his clique of players that would desert our club with Tickner, Bastian, Hahn etc

And dont forget these were the same players (except for Stevo) who could'nt perform for Chandler last season as well as SM this season.

This season is a total mess, but i'm thinking its more a mess in the board room where one or two individuels (who could'nt tell the difference between a combination play to compact defence) have a sh1te load to answer me (a society member) on why they are dragging my club down. EGM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bring it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you not been watching at all this season EU??

You talk about the failings of those that have left the club with regard to fitness levels/questionable attitudes/not cutting it..etc.

Well, nearly EVERY single player brought in this season has failed on one, more,or all of those factors. At least Dauti and Hahn showed a bit of skill and talent on ocassions.Something sorely lacking with most of the players brought in their place.

You also talk about regular players deserting the club..Just for a moment consider how they all felt..The new players (mostly mates and ex-players of SM/SB) take their places in the side straight away without having to fight for a starting place. They stay in the side ahead of the old guard, even though they show no form and 'questionable' commitment. They seem to offer no improvement in play or results from when the more long term players were playing.OF COURSE THEY ARE ANGRY and feel hard done by.

Talking of fighting for a place.Tickner (for all his faults)spent months out of the team after being dropped.when he was called on again he played quite well, but was dumped from the team once again as soon as someone (anyone) else became available for his position. So he did fight for his place and was right to move on after that fight proved fruitless. Not saying the management were wrong to seek new options in this position if they felt Ticker wasn't good enough.Just saying that Tickner did try to fight to win his place back.

Tickner was brought back for the Wingate away match and if Wingates finishing was better he would have been responsible for us being 3/4-0 down at half time instead of the 1-0.

I have watched a lot of games this season, Leyton being the latest where some of you guys are suggesting Andy Jones as MOM and captain material, I did and could'nt help laughing for quite a while when I read that, cos as I've mentioned, I like Andy too, but on Tuesday he fizzled out after 55mins/ish, he was solely responsible for 2 Leyton goals. On a positive front he did his best and discipline wise was faultless.

So I have been watching, I just wonder of some of the analytical skills of our supporters.

The old guard had us in the bottom half of the table and this forum was spitting fire, a change was neccessary and for a brief spell (8 matches) we all said 'fantastic and on the way up', but mystery powers are unsettling the ship for all the wrong reasons, and I wont drag our club down on an internet website, but people need to go, the only thing I know is that if its SB, then you wont see me at ETFC again and my youth set up will be encouraged to follow suit.

I wonder if, having read the extract from EU's post above, it's time to leave this subject until either the EGM or the Trust Meeting- whichever comes first.

I appreciate that feelings are running high, but when it gets to 'if he goes, I go', I think it might be time to stop. That really can't be in anybody's interests, and leaves people backed into corners.

What old guard, from the start of the season 75% of the team were signed by SM, and correct me if im wrong but I dont think we have been anywhere other than the bottom half of the table all season, so who's fault is that then?!

SOB-Your right with the latter part of your comments.

Gazza-As SOB said, feelings are running high and I suppose my comments were made with a sense of huge disappointment at the way things are at the mo, not just on the pitch.

I do recommend (again), that a long arm and a handshake with an apology and a sense of humbleness will help sooth over any frictions, and a committment to all work together, positively.

I'm not gonna mention the players side of things again, I've made my point with Jones, Wild just coming back from a ban and mid-winter break to prolong it. Ellis has only played 2 games and 15mins in four months, Rudi, Marshall, Blower are'nt upto it at the mo and Winston can't buy a goal.

Add injuries of Roberts, Noel, Edgar, Deane and I see a season thats been a disaster in every sense.

One thing that is also a fact is if SM goes then so will SB, they are now 'THE' management team. However and I have mentioned this before, SM and SB have worked together for 13 matches 5 defeats, 2 draws 6 wins its just that the stirrers have pounced on the recent dip and will go quiet again it we string together 2-3 wins, or then again, maybe not.
