Its because Canvey appear to want the game replayed now Steve, so League are saying the decision mustn't be rushed!

 

So I reckon by next season!!!

Turvey has also said,according to the Gazette..

"The papers are in.We have detailed letters from the two clubs and the referees report but the decision mustn't be rushed.There is no indication which way we will go at the moment".

This,I find to be the most encouraging bit,

"The decision must be made with total openness and transparency and I can assure you it will be made on its merits".

 

On its merits he says! No contest then you would think. 3 points to us if it's on it's merits. Cause for optimism at least.

i really cant see another decision being fairly given if however they do order a replay can we appeal to the fa cos these 3 points may well be very crucial.they may of course order the 10 minutes to be played which is totally fair to everyone

According to the paper Steve, KP is saying there is no rule to appeal to them if we have too!

 

Agree playing last 10 minutes be much fairer then why not a full game afterwards with proceeds to the Ryman Red Nose Day appeal?

This is just typical of the Ryman league and Alan Turvey. He states that the decision should not be rushed. What is there to rush? He states the paperwork is in, so what is there to decide. They just need to sit down and make the decision, whether it is for us or against. The longer it goes on the more difficult it is for Terry and the club to deal with. A replay will need to be arranged and we are three points less off our target. I believe he is going to wait for the weekend results to see if he can be let off the hook. This needs to be sorted NOW not in a weeks time. Its a bloody disgrace.

If there is one thing that you can take comfort with, the Ryman League have rarely done us any favours in the past. Check out our finish to the 2000/01 season thanks to the Ryman League not agreeing to extend our season, despite us representing the league by reaching the 2nd round of the FA Cup and eventually winning the FA Trophy!

 

Would have almost certainly won the league that year as well, and had the players to have faired much better in the Conference...

Not the right argument I'm afraid. The league will see it as points we never had becasue the game didn't finish, so had could we lose them? And of course we stil have the opportunity to win three points (or "pints" as I typed before correcting myself) if the game is re-staged. Oh, and I still think we deserve the points. I wonder if their manager got at their board, hence the apparent change of heart?

As a Ramsgate supporter these 3 points will effect our position in the league...BUT for God's sake please Ryman League have some common sense and give Margate the 3 points.....Common sense & the Ryman League don't go together do they????

jane I believe its the league waiting to see whether canvey are in with a chance of the playofs, if not ( I SO HOPE) then the decision will be made on that merit - go figure huh.
