This was not so much a football match as a battle against the elements.At the end we battled harder than they did.Young tapped one of their players on the shoulder and got a yellow because the guy fell over.The second tackle was more robust but considering the conditions, did not deserve a yellow and the combination resulting in a red was a complete travesty of justice.We battered them in the first half with the wind and scored 2 goals.They battered us in the second with the wind but we also got a couple of breakaways which resulted in a free kick which Wilson scored and Peters won a penalty which he converted.We did so well to score 2 second half goals because the wind made it almost impossible to get the ball out of our half,it was that strong.Considering what the guys achieved with 10 men in atrocious conditions it beggars belief that the Ryman league could consider taking the game away from us considering there were only 8 minutes left.Lets hope that if they have any discretion they use it wisely and fairly.
