Updates from Leyton

Time to get in early for a new management search while the Board selects a development squad of 12-15 Senior players and 6 juniors for next season.

Board needs to publish benchmarks for management at all levels with management to provide weekly statement on on team progress.

Transparency and clear objectives would see a lot of the rumours and second guessing eliminated.

"If you want to give 5k to a club then you'd do it."

Totally agree we can all say I am not giveing money to the club because of results.

I definitely am not giving 10 million to the club because

Tell you what fellas and the board may drop to their knees in despairing hysteria that we dont need and should'nt take such donations, unless of course the donor insists.

As said in my convo's with many many supporters in the Witham game yesterday, our season has not been a disaster, we are mid-table and our expectations were for better, nothing wrong with that either.

In Edgar, McCoy, McKie, Wild, Ellis, Walton, Deane add possibly Jones, Reiss Noel, Roberts and we have a basis to start next season with a better team than this season. If we can add quality to that group then we can be looking to a very powerful set up of lads for a better and more sustained challenge next season.

To back my theory up, I'd encourage every non society member to become one and to get your brothers, sisters, neighbours, parents, gran parents, cats, dogs and goldfish as members too, so that we give a grand budget for a big push to get promoted in our last season at the brimsdown ground and have Premier footy at the new ground.

Its our club and an extra

Maybe not disaster, but this season has been highly dissapointing, both in terms of not challanging for the play-off's,the alienation and lack of affinity felt by most of the fans towards the team (because of the ridiculous turn-over of players),and most of all the PRODUCT..The lack of skill and entertainment provided in say 4 games out of 5, has been shocking.

There have been glimpses of the team gelling and perfomances starting to reach the standard demanded by the fans, but those periods have been sort lived,to be followed swiflty by another month of medicocity.

This management team need to show consistancy both in player arrivals and retention, as well as consistancy with regard to on-field performances before i give them my backing..I would be as happy as anyone if they can provide that.
