I am not disagreeing with you. Slagging off though does not improve the situation. We have gone through at least 4 changes of personnel at management level this season but retained the manager. It demonstrates to me that, perhaps, staff cannot work with the current manager.

We have also gone through 54 players in club colours this term, without counting friendlies when, it seemed we went through many changes in every game yet we still have not got a settled side.

Perhaps the players cannot work with the current management.

What I do not like is the criticism of loyal club servants who have been with the club since its inception and have done more for the club than any other member of the playing or management staff.

There are many that make suggestions as to what should or should not be done but do not step up to the plate when volunteers are called for. I have seen servants, including you, stewarding, selling tickets, working in the committee rooms, working in the shop and yet all I hear is "we should do ......." without saying, "I am willing to do ........"

I totally agree with you Steph. I think you may well find that now that there will be several people who are now going to say "I am going to do" or "Going to STOP doing"

I find it all really very sad and depressing, whatever has happened to "OUR" Club?

Quote:
Andy Jone played head and shoulders above everyone else in the squad. If you want to see a player proud to wear a Town Shirt it has to be him. If he can control the red mist he should be skipper however I do understand the problems with his work commitments.

When new management are brought in,i think ANDY JONES should be made captain and we should build the team around him.

I know some don't like his reckless side, but i think he would flourish with the responsability of being the pivotal focus for the squad.

All share holders have the right to voice their disappointment with the current management set up and want answers as to why we are so poor in a league which is not a patch on those previously played in.

If it's broke, then it needs fixing.

what about non share holders? you know those that walk through the gate, hand over cash and support their club, but don't have a share certificate, are they not allowed a voice?
That would be a shame if they can not air an opinion

AND WHAT about those who follow the Towns result, via the media? I have several people, ok maybe about 10,(none of whom go to games on anything that could be called a regular basis) who follow Town via the paper, website, or officiate and they all have an opinions, are they not allowed to express those points of view?

It is the management who can clearly be seen to be failing as opposed to "the volunteers" or "the board" both of which have been most successful this season.

1) The progress on the QE2

2) The agreement with Brimsdown to form Goldsdown Holdings

3) The raising of funds

4) The pitch

5) The new redecorated board room.

Those that dont go to matches dont see these things or dont understand their importance.

Now let us look at the role of the coaching staff.

Successes 10 wins out of 29 games and one of those the manager was not present! It is not just about hours put in it is about results. As I said perhaps the manager cannot work with other people/players. And do we as supporters see him working on match day. I heard no shouting from the bench yesterday except the occasional sounds from SB saying "roll it". This is not the way it was when he started so has he become like SM or does he feel the whole thing is hopeless.

Put the blame where it belongs dont try to spread it.

Dont agree 100% with Jonah being MOM, yes he did put in some good tackles but his passing, along with the rest of the team was very poor.

However i do feel Jonah and our No.6 (think his name is Macky) were our better players, but to give them MOM is a bit too much praise on that performance.

A very, very disappointing result which raises serious questions about the players attitude and the club's ambitions for the remainder of the season. Having seen a very good match and performance against Northwood a short while ago,it is very difficult to comprehend why subsequent performances have been so poor. Can well understand why many hardworking loyal supporters are uptight and looking for answers. The turnover of seventy-plus players this season is breath-takingly high and must be a major contributory factor to our under achievement in league and cup competitions this season. With nothing now left to play for, apart from pride, think it is high time for answers and an official statement from the Board,as to what action they intend to take to stop the rot and re-assure Society members, before more people vote with their feet in protest, and income is further eroded. Also, perhaps,an explanation as to how and why we have failed to achieve our pre-season promotion expectation would be a very good starting point.

I thought he did okay, first half v Brentwood.

Dropped to the bench last night along with Campona, who also had a reasonable first half Saturday.

They both played bit parts in second half when we were 2 or 3 ( or was it 4 ) down.

Absolutely NO CONCISTANCY in team selection anymore.

We also had a joke forward line of Sammy - usless - Winston playing ahead of a deep lying Ellis - What is all that about ??

Perhaps we should call the Management Duo "Tinker & Taylor", although I can think of a few other names more fitting !!!!!

Various threads defend the Duo, but I have lost all beief that they know what the hell they are doing.

So the only two players to produce anything on the pitch worth watching on Saturday were dropped for the next game? doah

No doubt the board have done there job in the of field activities but if they cant employ a decent manager then there not doing there job on the field and that is what will attract supporters not the rubbish we have been watching.

We are a football club after all.

Saying that recently we should try our hand at chess it would be more entertaining.
