Correct decision to abandon our game at H/T, although one of the Sandhurst staff was out on the pitch trying to dribble through the puddles to convince the ref it was ok!!

Defended well against a gale force wind and driving rain into our faces and was confident we would use the wind better than Sandhurst did, but never got the chance.

I know this is a bite on my first contribution on here but I can't let you get away with what you've put on here weeble.

There were 3 other games abandoned last night so the ref didn't make that unusual a decision .I think he probably called it about right all night apart from not sending off the Cambo keeper for being last man back on the penalty. Plus 2-1 at 58 mins doesn't automatically mean a Camberley win

Our Players ran off just like both teams did at half time because the conditions were so foul. The reason Cambo didn't run off was their players decided to chase round after the referee a bit Roy Keane style. I understand they were disapopointed but it looked a little bit OTT to me and they are a good club who we get on well with.

You must be a man of extraordinary perceptive skills or certainly in excess of mine because although the Bedfont Green contingent were standing quite close to us lot you claim to have seen and heard people appealing to have the game called off once we went 2-1 down . We saw and heard nothing of the sort and we were a bit surprised when the discussion took place . You are a real loss to the refereeing fraternity. Maybe I should try bovril and pepper.

There is no shame on rattled .What is a pity is when people try and spin things to put their promotion rivals in a bad light . I hope our boys will remember what you've tried to do on this board today and be motivated by it come April 18th .

Doing this indicates a lot of insecurity about your position at the top . As for us we're having our best season in donkeys years and enjoying it so there's no pressure . Even if we didn't go up we've still had a great year and I'd miss a lot about this league if we did go up like having another go at the vase and the banter on this board

All those other games called off or abandoned last night, yet Meadowbank was one of a few to make it to the end.

Speaks volumes for the true quality of the ground !

I will have to disagree with you Teffers as the pitch wasn't playable for the last twenty five minutes and had changed considerably in the second half ,where the ball was sticking, to the first where it was skiding off the surface. Unfortunately for us we defended against the wind in the first half and the expected advantage in the second was neutralised by the pitch becoming a bog. No moans about the result though as Chertsey deserved the win.

JJ it's not whining it's called common sense.

As you state silly tackles flying in.

Would you like to be the one sitting at home with a broken leg today.

A sensi is not a lot of good if he is out injured for 3 months, loss of earnings, pupils going to other clubs etc.

A ref has a responsibility to look after the players and last night that ref made a mockery of his position.

I believe staff from BOTH teams offered him the match fee if he listened to reason.

Your groundsman should have been allowed 5 minutes with him alone.

The forward was going away from goal and the ball looked to be travelling out for a goal kick, silly challenge by Stoney but didn't deserve to be sent off for it in my opinion.

Weeble loves his banter, but that's all it is and you will need to recognise it as such else get upset by comments. Don't want to comment on whether the match should have been called off or not as it can be debated all day long for lots of reasons, however Rattled DID give a gesture to the referee to call the game off at 2-1 which was probably the best thing he did for his team all night wink To be fair to E&E, from where I was stood it looked as though Barnard had questioned the conditions with the ref as well moments before.

Should be a great game on 18th April, hopefully both teams are still in the hunt by then...

Yeah may be a little earlier than I said Queenie and conceeding 1 min into second half blew any chance we had (in my view) and yes the pitch was getting worse which did not help us come the nd half. Sorry if you disagree but that views for you.......KENT wink

TC - you were lucky, i went through that bottom puddle/swimming pool on a couple of occasions, not the most pleasant experience i have ever had i must say.

Jockstrap, top, t-shirt, shorts, everything was absolutely drenched, i would have been dryer having a shower. At one stage i thought about getting the armbands on.

Stood just behind the penalty spot, and no word of a lie, the water was over my boots!!

I blame my drenching our on skipper, after all, he lost the toss.

Thought your guys took the decision well, must have been disappointing considering you were 2 up, but realistically he had no other option.

I helped out taking the reserves to hanworth villa. Somehow lost 3 2 including the worst pen decision your ever likely to see. Pitch was a mudbath but playable, even the rain doesn't like coming to that chav infested Pitt. Anyway has anyone else had the misfortune to com across the hanworth reseve team manager? If there is a bigger Kent in the whole of non league football then do please step forward

My biggest objection to the game being started last night was the fact that at one end the goaline was completely washed away and there was no halfway line(again washed away),the fact that the ref played the game indicates to me that he wasn't being assessed, he was totally unreasonable and made himself and his assisstants look incompitent,oh and just remember this little beauty lads, when asked if he was happy with the game going ahead with none of the lines clearly visible one of the linesmen told us you don't have to have any lines on a football pitch, silly me i should have known i've only been playing fo 45 years.
