I'm not one to gossip Krooner, but it was abandoned due to a 22 man punch up on the center spot...

Well...The pitch was wet and so was the Ref...He made a decision to play the game and I said if he starts it he must finish it. The weather was always going to continue in the same vein.He had the chance to stop it at 1-1 but surprisingly enough didn't even get asked to stop it until E and E went 2-1 down...Shame on you Rattled...The E and E team ran like olympic sprinters as soon as the ref put his lips to the whistle and were in their changing room before the final whistle had been completed,leaving Cambo and the supporters wondering what might have been...Two even sides with Cambo prob just edging it..

Probably didn't help matters that a Cambo player put in a 25 yard sliding tackle and the E and E players were auditionng for dancing on ice..

Kroons..Great bovril but no pepper..can you sort that please for the re arranged fixture....

Called off at HT at Cove but should NEVER EVER had started. More water than grass.

The referee showed how bad it was when he walked out to start the game but then had trouble finding the centre spot in all the water. That just shows you a lack off respect to all those paying supporters & also Cove FC who now have to deal with the mess caused by 45minutes off farce football.

Cove were leading 1-0 at half time through a well struck goal but they did have the gale force wind behind them

All the Ash players were whining at the ref "how can we play football on this", "ref you gotta call it off". To be absolutely fair, the pitch was unplayable and the ball stopping rolling all the time in puddles. Silly tackles were being made and it was just a complete farce.

 

The ref replied with "of course you want it off, you're losing 1-0!". I then jogged up to him and said "ref, we're winning 1-0 and we also want it off".

 

Half time whistle blows and he calls managers and captains in his dressing room for a word. We all agree the game should be off. Game off.

 

Nice fella but brains in his backside.

 

We look forward to the rearranged derby!
