Presumably Platt is playing for us and Sommers for them?

Any news on who Ashley Caldwell is?

Gutted to be missing it tonight. Come on you Rebels.

Well battled then by Slough. At least they didn't throw in the towel at 3-0. Shame we couldn't grab a point. Thanks to my Dad for the updates.

To be fair to the teams, only the team attacking the covered end could really play any decent type of football tonight. The conditions were terrible.

First half we tried hard but could not work against the wind, and conceded, and then again to a mistake (I believe by Allaway) which let them in. Jacko made a great save before the break to stop it being 3-0 by half time.

Second half was much better we could play the ball along the floor and in the air and, despite an unfortunate mistake by Jacko at the start of the half, played some good football and could've scored more than the 2 we got. Webb and DJ came really close.

Overall there was definately 90mins of effort from the whole team, and some of the second half football was really good.

Hopefully with a few training sessions we can keep up this sort of play.

Would also like to add that at the end Jacko took a long time to come over towards the fans at the covered end. Yes he may have made the mistake for their 3rd goal, but I think we can allow him a mistake or two after the number of amazing saves he has made this season. Unlucky Jacko, keep your head up.

Sommers, Trueman and Caldwell are all Cinderford players.

Went with a standard 4-4-2 tonight. Clearly Steve Bateman went with the players that best fit that formation, e.g. Attrell and Bubb on the flanks, the two top scorers up front, and trying Jordan alongside Fermie in midfield.

Has to be said that Attrell and Bubb had poor games though, and Allaway and Jackson made major c0ck-ups for the second and third goals, but Jacko also made two brilliant saves. Neither team really threatened in the first half but we found ourselves 2-0 down at half time in absolutely horrible conditions.

We came back into it strongly at 3-0 down, battling really well, and had a few shots blocked. Right at the death their keeper made a great save from Allaway's header as it skidded off the wet turf.

Tonight was all about the new manager finding out about his players, and hopefully soon we can bring in reinforcements in midfield which are badly needed.

shame that we lost it through 2 goals with huge mistakes but as has been said Jacko has saved us time and time again this season. i know he will take the mistake tonight really really hard and you could see the way he wondered about at full time he was cursing himself

as said only the team attacking the sheltered end was ever really going to be able to create a lot of chances. we came oh so close at the end to getting a 3rd goal. great save from a header by their keeper and Webb lifted a shot inches over which he did so well to even get to. add to that frantic blocks galore by Cinderford

cant really fault the effort of the players though and a lot of passion was shown especially when we conceded goals. i saw most the players really look like they were angry when it wasn't going our way and really delighted when we got the goals. team spirit seems good. just a real shame we unnecessarily went 3-0 down as they was not that much better than us. i really thought we would get back to 3-3 after we got back to 3-1 but it was not to be.

hard luck lads. give Bateman a few weeks to work his magic and we should be fine.

Two scrappy goals cost us the game sadly. The wind made forterrible playing conditions and i'm still cold now! We did not play well tonight, but you were never going to play great in those conditions and you can see to all confidence is very, very low at the moment.

However, thought we were going to scrape an equaliser near the end. The keepers low save from DJ was very good.

Bateman's probably seen from the squad we have a very lop-sided squad as someone pointed out tonight. Five players who can play centre-back easily, have decent options in the striking area when they are on their game, but woefully lack centre midfielders, wingers and full-backs

Saturday could be interesting especially as Fermie and Fenton are suspended, so guess he may have to try and bring in someone sometime this week.

Both teams did the best they could under extreme conditions.

Out of all the goals, only our second didn't come from a mistake.

Playing Sonny at right back was an interesting idea, and he seemed to cope with it quite well for most of the time, considering how hard defending was last night.

Using Tom down the left from the start also gave us some speed on the wing.

It wasn't too bad, considering there has not been a training sessions under the new regime yet.

Sonny played quite a few times at right back when he first came into the team.

I thought the team battled really well tonight and it was always going to boil down to who made the least mistakes playing against the wind and rain.

I thought Fermie had a good game last night. Fenton gave his usual 100% commitment and I thought DJ battled really well in midfield and deserved his goal.

Really big game coming up on Saturday with a serious problem with the number of players available.

Saw Rory Smith in the stand last night, is he injured?

bateman seemed to play the right formation and attempted to use the wings but we really do now need players to fit that formation so that we can push forward.

As said before without fermie and brown on saturday who the hell is going to play in the middle??? incidently thought fermie was by far our best player last covering the defence on numerous occasions and he can shoot!!!!

Sonny also did not fit in well at right back, couldnt really see in second half but first half their left winger was too much for him.

Jacko was unlucky to make that mistake and its a shame that from this game that is what he will remeber as he made two fantastic saves, one first half, one second.

Think that we need to bulk up the midefield as our main priority. The defence can cope with ahrper on the right and fenton on the left.
