WE have used 53 players this term - Rudi and Disco need only a few games to break Choppers appesrence record - but out of the current crop (with the exception of Lee M ) can you see any of the others making 100 appearences (Dave B was the nearest). Can you see any of them making 50?

They played better football than the ones brought in this season..This is the first time i've ever seen a stats page in a programme where current players and departed players for the season are split evenly and listed seperately.More worryingly the departed players list looks stronger than those still at the club.

The biggest insult on saturday was seeing a highly talented player like Steve Velendia watching the match from the terraces, whilst players not even fit to lace his boots were in the shirt he would have loved to have been wearing.

The plan started when he released Steve Velandia in favour of players who would be "more likely to roll their sleeves up and grind out results for the Town!"

Hey Happy I was there last night too with my P.A, we had brilliant seats in the lower tier right near the stage, a birthday present no less & definatly better than a seat at Witham. evil

Excellent concert by the way, could you hear us singing & see us dancing? evil

ETFC Home page.

Alex Campana's opener, his first goal for the club, was not enough last night as our hosts equalised in what was described as an "uninspiring game".

East Anglian Times.

A TREMENDOUS game and a point won, but really Witham should have had all three as they squandered many chances during the second half.

They hit the post twice and had the ball in the net again but this was ruled offside.

Alex Campana gave the visitors the lead after 11 minutes when Witham messed up a short corner and the ball went straight down the other end.

However, Kevin Budge equalised after a goalmouth scramble in the 27th minute, but once again Witham should have won this game handsomely.

So which one is correct?

This is something from my posting on 12 July 2008.(am I sad, or what?)

How can we be told in the Gazette that 'Steve V was probably the most talented player in the squad' and that 'if we were to go up a division then he would be a vital cog in our armoury.'

'This level doesn't suit him and that he(manager) will be the first person to give him a call.'

I missed him on Saturday but would welcome him back at any time.

Well, if that was TREMENDOUS, I am going to watch paint dry.

We were in the lower tier in the wheelchair section at the back. A g4reat oerall view although the stage was too far away. What a great gig. shannon was sitting there not knowing what to expect and when the stage lighting came on and they started with Human her eyes just lit up and I have never seen her 'clap' with her left arm like she did!!!

The Wingate home game was a fantastic performance and a thoroughly enjoyable game. Many supporters saw us in the hunt for the play offs (me certainly included) after that result. But with the Poxy break due to the weather and Woolf Stevenson not staying plus the three wisemen of Ellis, Jones and Wild missing has seen our season go, officially, belly up.

One important point we must not ignore is our conceding of goals has improved in our favour. I think its 3 goals in the pass 5/6 games. Thats better than the start of the season. I'm hoping we continue to keep clean sheets or just to concede a single goal and compliment that with some goals the other end, but its not happened this past 3 games.

Hopefully with the return of Wild and Ellis we'll have more presence in our team of late and finish in the top 8 this season. I think we have a superb team but not the back up for injuries and suspensions, we need to rectify that between now and July.
