Dream Slough Manager !

My dream manager would be nigel clough but it aint gonna happen is it so maybe time to move on.

Somewhat disapointing to read the posts of late, surely anything of worth takes time to build and is never instant.

some people have mentioned the windsor manager as an example of a great manager going there and being an immediate success, well he inherited most of the squad from the previous manager as most people know and as he hasnt won anything yet and was not an overwhelming success at his previous club but only time will tell.

What i find particularly annoying and even quite insulting is the notion that Derek sweetman and the management havent a clue.

Derek knows this league yes and obviously in building a team likes to maintain a good team spirit and let players play to their strengths and prefered positions.

Im not making excuses but it has been a topsy turvy sort of season with injuries etc but an improvement on last season. Does anyone seriously think we will be in a relegation battle this season. I would imagine that this season has been one of learning, and if we can keep the same squad of players with a few additions there is no reason we wont be pushing for the play-offs.Derek is an honourable man and one who is open to talking to fans about anything, very approachable and also refreshing to have someone who is not your conventional loudmouth manager.

So i say to those who are wanting a change dont be tempted give it time we are going in the right direction with all our support it does make a difference. It disapoints me to actually see that there are people now who are actually wanting derek to fail. That is a shame as i really dont think he deserves it.

Talking of Nigel clough he took a decade to achieve the success he did and it was slow but sustainable.

So i can only echo those who have said lets really show our support saturday and start to be together the 12th man.

One thing you have to realise is we've been improving for 3 years to get to this point. You've improved alot from last year! That said i am sure you can do better than Sweetman. After all when he applied for the Windsor job he didnt get an interview

Things have got that bad that sweetman cant even manage half the points of the slug meadow boys.

We now have people on here suggesting that he should have 5 games into next season to prove himself, he should have gone after christmas as he has failed to use the players and finances he has. That is one of the top four playing budgets and a team that contains the leagues top goal scorer from last year.

The man does not have a clue and he needs to go!

So you KNOW what ours and other teams playing budgets are?
