We were superb in the second half Steve and if you can't see that you need an appointment for a new prescription for your glasses, and before you say it, no I dont wear rose tinted ones. You seem to be in the minority on this one this time. wink

What was superb was the team playing as a team working hard for each other on and of the ball creating passing opportunies and therefore giving choice.

What is needed is a blood pressure monitor for the dug out and for bbc wales to do a series until the end of the season.

specsaver vouchers are available and optical xpress having an opening sale at the moment!

To be fair to Steve I didn't think we were as impressive

(football-wise) as in our last home game but as you both say above, the spirit, the effort & especially the will to win was superb.Consistency in all of the above is giving us every chance of succeeding nowadays.

I think they were even more up for it for obvious reasons on Saturday (the management). Dan Young said the team were told tp crowd the goalie at halftime and, of course, that worked wonders for the first goal.

With SSS on this one-just did enough in the second half to secure the win,but we were not exactly 'superb '.

I would say we need to be about 10% better in every game than our second half performance to secure the necessary 5 wins minimum to stay up.

That 10% improvement over and above the second half performaqnce is achievable though.

having said that, at this time of the season, if we are rubbish for 89 minutes and get a luicky goal to secure the win, i could'nt care less.

Its winning that counts now-no matter how it is achieved; but yes-it was a real team effort on saturday-with everone contributing

I think we got the 'breaks' again on saturday-and after early season bad fortune ,are probably due some more still.

I'm sure most have seen us play better and lose.

As stated-could'nt care less now if we are rubbish-or brilliant-its simply about results and thats what we have achieved so fantastic.

That given, i think most would admit that on the first half performance, we would deservedly be relegated.

You try and be realistic and we won't be great every match and indeeed for the whole 90 minutes-that just does not happen, but the first half was dire was'nt it.

Oddly though-how many games is it that the team playing better-if they fail to score-go on to lose-and after the first 25 minutes of dross, but vitally we did not concede,i had a feeling it was going to be our day

The second half was better-but not great (the timing of Youngs opener was critical i feel )-but it was a real team effort which made it good, but i'm sure no one will get carried away; and to get the 5/6 wins required from just 11 games, we will need to up our second half performance`still further-not dramatically, but it will need to be better.

It is achievable though

Of some concern, is the 3 goals all came from set pieces of some kind.

Did we realistically look like scoring from open play-not imo ?.

Is there time in the next 11 games to improve that-probably not-so does TY accept the fact that we are unlikely to score from open play-and concentrate and making our free kick\and corner routines really effective.

I do wonder whether the return of corbishly can add a little more creativity to create a few more chances ?How do you fit him in to play a more central midfield role though as i still feel we need Stubbs energy there as well;and on saturday, i thought Gregory and Lacy also played very solidly
