Well Waltham Forest deserved their win and we didn't. We were a team of individuals today with zero team understanding. We were like a lumbering armada of a team that were picked off by a nimbler team that had a greater desire to win.

I really cannot find a positive word to say about Otis Williams in both the last two games!

Luke Marshall was our best player and as soon as the manager took him off we conceeded defeat! I'd have swapped Healy for Winston. We desperately need Ellis Remy back who is head and shoulders above the two current strikers.

Team Walton, Cameron, Bastian, McKie, Fitzgerald, McKoy, Williams, Hall, Edgar, Winston and Marshall. Subs Campana, Blower, May, Ricketts and Healy.

I also do not think that Luke was our best player.

And if you think that Winston should have been subbed you were certainly watching a different game to me. Have to agree with Dave Walton having a good game but Winston was our best outfield player. He clearly has the skills and experience that all the others lacked.

What do you expect him to do when for most of the game he was ploughing a lonely furrow with long balls to him for him to chase. Whatever happened to slow build up and balls to feet.

It was only when Campana came on that we decided to use the right wing and he showed promise as did May.

I have no complaints with the substitutions and Margolis clearly did know what he was doing!

(The lino on the right likes to let the game flow)

Was there two Winston's on the pitch then? As the one I was watching looked very unfit & certainly didnt show any skills & experience that I noticed, dont get me wrong I think he was giving it 110% but seemed to lumber around in what was mentioned as Emile Heskey's boots!

It was a truly awful performance verging on times at park football level, we need to start rebuilding now for next season with players suspended back & new better players recruited.

MoM in my book was Mccoy, again, the only outfield player able to control a ball!!

Two of the subs that came on had a bit of fire in their belly & at least appeared to have some urgency, if we turn in another performance like that against Brentwood next week it could be embarrasing!

No wonder I don't win the lottery each and every week after my prediction!

Just what did we experience yesterday? A 'team' of 11 individuals who were just not up to the task of beating a team determined to play together as a unit and challenge for everything. A team who ran and ran and never gave up trying to play football. A team who eventually scored and looked every bit as though they were the team higher up the league.

Let's look at our performance. Players hoofing the ball into the air, getting in each other's way, and not appearing to know what was asked of them. Players who don't appear to have played enough times together in training to know each other!

As for DB's disgraceful kick on an opposing player! If there had been a more confident referee on the pitch then the least he would have received was a yellow card when a red would have been justified.

As for hearing a parent question the decision to sub his son! Is this park football or what? Whilst we are on the subject of park football; it was interesting to hear players talking about playing today. Surely after yesterday's performance they should be called back to sort out the problems and attend a training session before the trip to Witham?

Just where was the crowd yesterday and isn't it worrying? 196 with at least 30 from WF. That leaves 166 ETFC fans on a beautiful day for football at this time of year. I would certainly worry if the supporter base is disappearing and more and more is being asked of the fans with the new development on the horizon.

If we are going to admit that there is an awful lot to do this season in preparation for next season then let's admit it and get on with it. Constant 'tinkering' will not help. Let's have a settled side.

I know we have injuries and suspensions but so do other teams and I know that 7 day approaches for our players don't help, but that's life.

There, rant over and I await postings telling me I talk a load of old c..p.

Luke was the only player that looked dangerous or likely to create something in the second half.

I missed five or six games and come back to find myself watching a team i didn't recognise.Playing the kind of football that i didn't recognise. The atmosphere amongst the fans was one i didn't recognise. It didn't feel like i was watching my team anymore.

None of the new players that started yesterday showed me anything to convince me i wasn't watching park standard players running about in the once proud white shirt. The three subs that come on looked a lot better than those who started.

The amount of new signing and players released every week, means there is no loyalty to the club (or to the management) from the players whilst they are here. The fans cannot build up any loyalty or affection for the team, because of the constant revolving door.SM has had more than enough time to build a settled side.At some point he neeeds to stop bring players in and try to keep (and make perform) the players he has got.

Well Gazza, I must have been at your match aswell cos I thought Sammy W was woefull.
He needs a cushion down his shorts to help the "falls" every time he kicks a ball.
I do agree that the service he got was crap - but what's new there - we do it every week with high long punts up to a short forward marked by 2 giants !!!

It's all about opinions and mine is that that performance was WOEFULL with the exception of DW in goal.

Non proffesional or not, they should be in training today and Monday to learn each others names before another joke performance at Witham !!

As for the supporters - they pay their money and will have their say. Unfortunately more and more are saying it with their feet and staying away.
All these great plans for a new stadium are super - but, it will be empty at this rate.

Like Gazza, I am fearull for next Saturday against Brentwood although I hope the 3 suspended Players will be straight back in the side.

Will all three of them still be with us next week?

Well guys I was'nt at yesterdays game, but the performance was a bad one having chatted briefly to SB and reading these postings. Looking at the league tables we fell a further point behind the now very outside chance of fifth place.

It is now about getting 3pts at Witham and getting the suspended players back in next week. Ress Noel has a back injury and Clydie may need knee surgery. I agree totally that we need to get a settled team for the rest of the season and finish as high up the table as possible.

For next season we need to identify those who will represent our club with optimism and add equal or better quality to that. I have belief that is possible With SB on board.

Crowds will naturally drop away with poor league position and results, so thats a priority between now and August, plus we need to start some real community work and activity locally as the only senior club in Enfield. And crowds will slowly return, over to the management and board respectively for those one's, but its time for an overhaul and real structered activity

Well done Lads -
WHAT, goal-scorers amongst the squad ?

We need someone who knows where the net is.
