Dagsy, go to the website home page and click on the video index 2008/09 link. Like Urchins I can't understand why you have this problem.

Thanks Sid - Rob's link still takes me to the Billericay match but your one takes me to the Ashford match.

 

And it raises another question - Max announced the goal as Byron Harrison, and I thought it was possibly an own goal.

 

ROb gives it to Gavin Smith.

 

I have looked at the video several times now and the reaction of Gavin Smith suggests that he did not touch the ball, and that it was an own goal.

 

I am also unsure now who took the free kick - the general opinion was that it was the number ten, but looking at the clip, it seems to be the number eight, (he was the one who took all the corners).

Glad you got there Dagsy. Both links do work o.k. The link I gave you was to our mirror site which I thought you had never used before so you would not have any stored files on your system. Try deleting the temporary files in your browser cache.

Thanks Sid, and thanks Rob - yes, the old link took me to the .com site and not to the .net site.

 

And I am now even more puzzled.

 

The free kick was taken by number ten (or if not by number ten, who took it? - the number eight took all the corners, but I did not make a note who took the free kicks.)

 

But the ball clearly goes in off of someone's head.

 

The only question is whose head?

 

The number nine's reaction is such that it does not seem to be his goal. So was it an own goal, and if so, who got the own goal?

no.10 touched it or glanced it. nobody celebrated as he was persona non grata at the time. bob asked him before the game if the manager had the hump with him as he was doing warm ups on his own away from the rest of the ashford (mx) squad who were having a laughter filled session of headers/kick ups etc. he said that he was simply asked to do an 'individual warm up'...

 

so basically, bob wound him up and he scored at least once.
