For once we had a bit of luck today. It was backs to the wall stuff for most of the second half but a combination of brilliant goalkeeping and desperate last ditch tackles and blocks denied them. we were overrun at times so definitely a point gained and credit to all - that must be the youngest Margate side I have ever seen and they battled gamely to the end despite being extremely tired thanks to a very heavy pitch. Lacey the new right back I though was superb and his long throws are a great weapon - just a shame we had no-one to take advantage of them. Dan Young, Harwood and Wilson were the pick of the other players but we were disappointing in attack carrying very little threat all game - I can't recall their keeper making a save until injury time when Joe Taylor almost stole it for us.Hopefully Ryan back next week will help us there. Shame other results went against us today but if we can build on this with a win at home next week then this relegation scrap will start to get really interesting.

So it was all hands on deck at times in the second half so what. Remembering the way Hastings have stolen results against us to them. Would have been great if Wayns had reacted a split second earlier in the last minute and scored from the shot from Joe that thier keeper could not hold onto.

 

1 point today is a bonus only another 20 to go now.

Because of other teams winning, it feels like a defeat; but i said i would take a point before start of the game;so have to be happy.

 

Big big game next week though-a win for us and boreham wood could be in the relegation mix as well.

 

Interesting re :Aaron lacy- brings a bit of experience to the team which must be important.

reading the maidstone site-it reads as thoughits a 'permanent signing-does anybody know for definate ?

Congratulations to those young lads out there yesterday a deserved and hard fought point . Four points from two games well done lads im proud of all of you .UP THE GATE

Those lads showed they have the guts and determination to save our season and defend the point on the day. When under extreme pressure in the second half they did some real die-hard defending, throwing themselves in front of shots raining in from all over the place. Pat played a blinder in goal as well, a couple of real top class saves. Shame we couldn't get to the loose ball to nick three points at the death. But who wouldn't have settled for a point before the game.

Harrow have games in hand but they are pretty tough - home to Staines this Tuesday, away to Maidstone on the 24th, away to Carshalton on March 3 and Hornchurch away on March 17.

The way we battled and earnt a point was superb, yes luck rode with us a bit but we deserved the point for a gutsy display. Dan superb for me again.
