Yeah i hate him when he doesnt get a hat-trick too. UM has scored a double hat-trick of his own then by all accounts!!

 

I dont know what all the fuss is about. Just looked at the goal again on your webby. Free kick NOT taken by Harrison(10) Smith (9) gets his head to it and then raises his arm in celebration when the balls is in the net. Harrison then goes to congratulate Smith. Your keeper looked like he had paid for a ticket to watch!!

I was at the game.

 

For what it's worth I believe the game turned when the ref had the opportunity - gifted to him by the manager - to send the manager from the dugout.

 

At that point we had just pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 - we were clearly in the ascendancy, & the manager, having already seen the ref send off his No.2 in the first half, then gives an 'efficient' official the opportunity to stop the game again to send him off.

 

I don't know why the ref sent both of the coaching staff from the dugout - I have to assume it was for something they said. If they don't say anything - he can't send them off. I appreciate there is an amount of passion involved in the game, but surely part of the preparation for a game is to have a look at the appointed official & his track record.

 

If he really is a 'poor' official then word will have got around, & consequently you then tailor your reaction, behaviour, language etc. so as not to give him the excuse or opportunity to send you off, if his reputation suggests that he might.
