VINNY,CHRIS MOORE,GEORGE BORG..IN HARMONY ?

It may be the silly season of course but reading between the lines,despite denials,there appears to be a thought (hopefully a misconception) that there are rumblings of discontent between George Borg and Chris Moore and Vinny John.

It would be nice if George himself could reassure us that he rates these players and perhaps prudent of us as supporters to remind him that their arrival last season was the catalyst to

a season that was in danger of falling apart.

It was no coincidence that their outstanding form for most

of the time was absolutely vital to the promotion we won.

Moore added a calmness and authority that was sorely needed and Vinnie added a significant presence and support to an attack that was going through a lean time.

Most people I speak to are absolutely delighted that such an experienced hand as george Borg is coming to the club.

However we also hope that it does not lead to the exit for players who have made such a positive impact for the club.

There probably is NO history bewteen the new coach and these players but in the unlikely event that there is it is imperative that these be laid to rest.

The reality is of course that Mick Marsden is the Manager

and his say is presumably final.As a consequence we can only hope and trust that while we both need and welcome new arrivals,particularly in midfield,where a plamaker of quality is needed to support the tenacity of Southon,we also do not wish to see the departure of key players like John and Moore.

Good luck George,you are welcome with open arms to the Urchins but please dont let your heart rule your head !!!
