Lee Minshull ...

On paper at least, is Ramsgates largely unheralded signing of ireland U21 international, and now experienced des byrne a few weeks ago, a more than adequate replacement ?

Is that why they allowed Minshull to leave without too much fuss ?

Does in fact,Byrne instead of minshull actually strengthen their side ?

With his departure to a team that more than merits his requirements it now leaves Ramshite with only 4 (yes FOUR) players from Thanet.

Three of those 4 players have at one time another expressed a desire to change there strip to Blue as well. Where does that leave the LOCAL players only team now.

Ahh, I'm assuming this was featured on the Ramsgate forum. I'm rarely on there only around our games with them) and have IS on ignore so have no idea what he said. I found the news on Kentonline this morning.

Interesting point you make J about their local players. They started shipping them out last season but I hadn't realised they had so few now.

My thoughts are this, Lee is not match fit at the moment and in 3/4 game time has a three match ban. That would leave us with about 5 games to play. Im guessing like dutch mike that the fee is going towards the appeal. If we refused to let him go he would probably walk away in the summer for nothing. If we win the appeal and stay up then its been worth selling him.If we lose the appeal and go down then he would of gone anyway. I also believe that if we do go down we will probably lose a few of our better players.

Good decision really, but he will be missed, good player and a nice bloke who has today posted a message on our forum wishing us well and thanking us for our support.

I must say Mark I was surprised that Angels came in for him when he has a 3 game ban coming up but then maybe they are looking for him to assist in their play off push after the ban?

I for one won't be sorry not to have him play against Margate again this season as always seemed to play well against us.

There is no way that Rams builder typed this. It is well written and he is an uneducated scummer
